Jetsons S1 and S2 V1 and Yogi Sets at Sam's Club

Hi all,

Just came back from Sam's Club near my house near Chicago and just spotted Jetsons S1 and S2 V1 for about 28 bucks and Yogi Bear Collection for $29 + change BUT you have to search at the very bottom of their DVD sections as they keep most of those sets in boxes. I wanted to give a heads up regarding that, since I know some of the members were looking for these sets. Just another place to buy them.

PS, Almost forget a few of the Looney Tunes SPOTLIGHT Collections can also be found for about 13 bucks a pop too.

I wasn't aware Sam's Club sold DVDs that weren't sealed or brand new.

I believe he is talking about the shipping boxes in which Sam's keeps overstock. They're usually stored directly under the DVD shelves.

I would hardly call $30 a deal for these sets though. Couldn't you find it cheaper online?

The others are a dollar or two cheaper at Sam's, but tax would wipe out those savings anyway.

Not tomention shipping and waiting time, if you prefer to do ti in that fashion, but to each his/her own. Just trying to provide some information for those who might want the above sets a little quicker but however you decide to buy them is entirely up to you. And yes to the other poster where I should have been more clearer in that they are the boxes located BELOW the DVD piles since I figure due to a lack of space on the shelves but they're all new.

I think you've overestimating the number of people looking for these sets, OP. Sure they've shown up on many want lists in the Big Lots exchange thread, but that's because folks have thought they were part of the $3/$6 wave of sets there. Nice to know they're available at Sam's, but the fact is they're available at lots of places for prices similar to what you've found at Sam's.

The reason people have been looking for these is because of the Big Lots deal. Nobody is having a hard time finding these at general B&M retail or online.

This isn't a bargain by any means. The OP is posting in the BL thread making it sound like he has the mecca of finds since he's willing to trade a Yogi Bear set. It's the fact that it had been found for $3, not because it's rare.

As pointed out, it's already been found cheaper. There was no need to start a thread in the Bargains Forum for something that's nearly full retail.

Botom line...it was just another place to spot them, that's all instead of people who don't want to get them online and wait X # of days and then pay shipping and stuff. Now that I think of it...the prices are a bit too high but I should have elaborated that they can also be found at this location as well.

No worries, but if you found them at Big Lots for $3 then I'd consider them a bargain. Otherwise you can buy them just about anywhere.

Not to rain (yet again) on the parade (mainly because I like finding this out on stuff like the HB sets and appreciate rmw650's effort), but Sam's has had The Jetsons for $21-22 before. I bought my copy there (along with Scooby Doo S1/S2 - they had almost all of the bigger HB sets at the time) about a year or so again. Odd that they'd carry The Jetsons again for more money.

If I only did then WOW, what a pickup that would have been but one would think Sam's Club would have had it cheaper and then after discovering the cheaper prices online, it's not such a bargain after all. Oh well, at least it's another place to spot them if one wants them real bad, I suppose.

I saw these sets at Sam's as well.

And after getting the first five seasons of The Flintstones through Big Lots, I had no problem buying S6 for $30. I still feel like I'm coming out ahead.

YOGI BEAR just went on sale today on Amazon for $17.99. Don't know how long it will last. It was in my "save for later" basket so when I logged in this am it notified me the price had dropped.
