Besides the $10 boxes (none of which have shown up here), I haven't seen any Space Ghost, Yogi Bear, Nip/Tuck Blu-Ray, Crypt 6 or Flintstones 1.

I don't think season 7 of tales from the crypt was ever at any big lots

Got a couple things to make the trip worthwhile:

Batman TAS V1/Superman TAS V1 (two-pack) $3
The Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies (4-disc Golden Collection) $6
Land of the Dead (Unrated WS DC) $3
A Beautiful Mind (2-disc WS Awards Edition) $3
Bugsy (2-disc WS Unrated Extended Cut) $3

I also hit the District Heights, MD store (which is close by) and picked up the Super Bowl XXXI-XL set for $6. They had another but w/a floater.

Not much else at the DH store but in Waldorf they had 3 copies of the 6-disc versions of Thundercats (don't ask which one), Wacky Races, Flintstones S2 & 4 I think, OC's, War at Home, Joey, Friends, Animaniacs & Pinkys 1-2 (no 3's), Nightmares/Dreamscapes. No $10 sets. No Crypt. No other HB. No Lois/Clark. No Reeves Superman.
Where are you from Cracksky? I was there at 8:30am waiting for the 9:00am opening when the manager came out and said they were having problems with the registers and wouldn't be opening until 2:00pm. I ended up staying in the area for the 2pm opening. I was the fourth person thru the doors and the first by bare seconds to the DVD rack. I don't believe that anyone got the only copy of anything I wanted before I got a copy too so it all worked out. I was a little disappointed since there were no Looney Tunes but I was able to fill out some of the list I was looking for and between hitting this store today and the District Heights store two weeks ago I think I made out pretty well. Here is the complete list of the sets I got, I won't list all of the movies because there are more than 30 of those.

Today at Waldorf:
The Dukes of Hazard S4, S5, S6
Dallas S1&2, S3, S4, S5, S7, S8, S9 (several of these were only copy in store)
Thundercats S2V2
Adventures of Superman S2 (only one in the store)
The Flintstones S5 (only one in the store)
Blade - complete series
Tacy Takes on S1
Roots Next Gen
Superfriends the Legendary Super Powers Show - Complete Series
Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies
Scooby-Doo 5 Original Animated Movies (only 1 or 2 in store)
Justice League Double Feature

From District Heights Store 2- 3 weeks ago:
Batman Animated series Vol1
Superman Animated series Vol1
Nightmares and Dreamscapes
Joey S1 (I know)
Popeye the Sailor 1933-1938
Animaniacs Vol2
Adventures of Superman S1, S5&6
Lois and Clark S2, S3, S4
The Flintstones S2, S3
Top Cat
The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show
Wait till your Father Gets Home S1
Tales From the Crypt S2, S3, S4, S5
History Of Rock 'N Roll
God the Devil and Bob

And my brother hit a store in NY last week and got me:
Nip/Tuck S4 BLU

So overall this has been a really nice sale for me. But I am still holding out hope for the Looney Tunes $10 sets.

Not sure about the others but I personally bought Dukes season 1 at Big Lots (and have since traded it away).

Danvers still has a roots 30th anniversary and a smallville bd s7.
I keep debating if I should keep checking the Danvers store. I've been checking every other day for a couple weeks now and I don't know if it's worth it. I just don't know if there's anything more in back. My guess is there could be some more of the $3 sets since they had a bunch of Flintstones season 2 & 3, but no season 1, which seems odd. Then again, maybe they didn't get season 1. God, why couldn't they be like other stores and just put everything out once they got it?

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Saw one single set of "The Woody Allen Collection" for $16 last Thursday at the BL in Florence, SC

I didn't pick it up as I'm not a Woody Allen fan but maybe there will be some more box sets or collections released soon

Most of my local stores that carry a decent amount of stock havent' received anything new in the last few weeks. I can't really understand what is up with that. Even the $3 singles, nothing new is showing up. I'm ready for a new release of old classics. Really want White Heat to show up to help complete my Cagney collection

Lately I have picked up the following:

G-Men -- James Cagney
In Love and War - gotta return it due to skipping really badly
Annie Oakley
Ride the High Country
Broken Lance
Legionnaire $2
McQ
Back to Bataan
JC River Explorations
The Big Street
Humoresque
Queen Christina
My Reputation
Night and Day
One Man's Justice $2

I live in Northern Va. I got there a little after 4PM after reading your post. Most of those titles you mentioned were still there. The place was packed. The lines were wrapped around the DVD racks unfortunately. Every time I hit District Heights, they got nothing. Some day I'll hit the jackpot.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Durham, NC store on Hwy 55 showed signs of having some amount of restock - I could tell by the bones the vultures left behind (multiple unsealed copies of Flinstones S2, and a couple of NFL sets...and Joey and War at Home). At least someone had the decency to leave behind "I'm a Fugitive from a Chain Gang" - I've seen it many times, but had always assumed it was in one of the Warner Gangsters collections...

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

It was. It's been speculated that much of the WB stuff was from box sets that they split up and put in BL. Obviously so since some of them were not given stand alone releases. Actually, that's what prompts most of my return trips to take DVDs back to BL since I get home to look in my database and find that the movie I just bought was part of a box set that I already own.

you can get it off ebay or amazon marketplace for half that. It's not even worth it really, the season kind of sucked and they moved everything over to England to cut costs.

It was in the first Controversial Classics box from '05.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Nothing new at my BL here in Thomasville, GA. They brought out a few of the recent boxsets from the stock room. One of the stock clerks told me they have about 500 additional DVDs in the stock room, but apparently they don't have room to put them out in their single 4 sided rack. Too bad I can't go look through them all.

Thanks. I still have hope. What a glorious day it will be when I can post on here that I found a Joey (and bought it) at Big Lots. I will naturally then duck for cover as everything gets thrown at me. Season 2 is only available on ebay and such, I haven't seen it at Bestbuy or anything. Was it a limited release? I wouldn't pay what they're asking for it. I don't like the show that much.

Season 2 of Joey was never released in the USA, only in Canada....it's a shame too because there were like 8 un-aired episodes on it that I have always wanted to see (but don't want to spend what most places are asking to import it down to here)....

Go to this website at amazon.ca for Joey S2. It about $19.89 US dollars.

Yep.. ordered S2 from Amazon.Ca right after getting S1 from Big Lots. Paid less than 20 bucks for it and it shipped quickly (I'm in the US). Looking forward to watching the unaired episodes.....
