found some 7.99 at another kroger..... Balls of Fury HD-DVD / DVD combos... and couple of 5.99 unkown titles.. went to another kroger and when i asked.. the employee yells real loud to a cashier (and everyone looks)... "do we have any clearance dvds!?"...

I stopped by Kroger's yesterday... and actually found something I was looking for: Star Trek: Nemesis for $7.99

I also saw a Superman: TAS Volume 2 as well.

As for where they are located, at this one they were everywhere, scattered displays all over the store.

I went to 5 houston area Krogers. Did not see this display at any of these locations. Saw the same displays at every store. A $9.99 WB cartoon 2 pack display with nothing worth that price. A back to school children's display. And the Fast and Furious display. I walked the entire stores. They either never got them or they are long gone.

Thanks for the direction, guys. Unfortunately, I've hit 7 of them and none had any. Only two had the blowouts dumps but not TV DVDs. the other ones had nothin'. Oh, well. I'll check back periodically....

I went to the Pataskala, OH Kroger on East Broad this evening and they had the display. Either it was never full or it got ravaged pretty quick because there was only about a row and a half left. Fortunately for me, there was one copy of Veronica Mars season 2 for $7.99. The only other TV set I saw was something called Envy Girls (I think), which I also saw at the Reynoldsburg store on East Broad.

was inspired to hit 4 Krogers in the area... 2 had just put out shipments of a big box of DVDs with "Blow Out" written on it and a sign in the middle with "Blow Out"

That looks like one of the bins I saw last week. It have been pretty well picked over by the time I got to it.

Hit two other Kroger's in the area today, and found Veronica Mars S1 for $7.99. Also saw the Full House sets and other stuff you listed.

But I was really hoping I'd find more OOP Paramount titles.

I checked many Kroger stores in Dallas-Fort Worth a while back looking for HD DVDs and never found any. I also went to my local Kroger tonight and no luck. I'm guessing we won't see these in Texas, but I hope I'm wrong.

I went to 3 more Kroger stores in my area.... 1 had them ... 1 had nothing & at that one I was told something interesting.. only the bigger stores got them... but I did go to a smaller store #3 on this trip and they only had this....



Now this also was at some of the other ones that had the one from my previous post.... but it had a mixture from the other box... but a this store, with only this, there were yellow label titles.... make sure you look close at the yellow label titles... some are previously viewed... all the ones with the round stickers are new... enjoy the hunt......

I also posted this in the BL thread: We have 2 here in Washington: Fred Meyer & QFC. So far I haven't seen any BL stuff at Fred Meyer. They closed down most of the QFC's a few years back & the closest one to me is about 20 miles so haven't been there in a long time.

Interesting... Store down the street here had a restock since the last time that I was in.

Couple of copies of Veronica Mars S2, TMNT S4/S5 ($5.99), Boomtown, Dead Zone S5, Tracy Takes On S1/S2 and one copy left of Invasion Complete (I grabbed the other).

Would pick some of this stuff up for trade but of those looking in the BLET no one has anything that I'm interested in...

I swung by the Hilliard, OH store a couple of days ago and found Veronica Mars season 1 (there was at least one more) and Animaniacs vol. 3 (only one) for $7.99 each. They also had several of the other titles mentioned, including one copy of Invasion.

Thought about posting a thread in exchange but this is so hit and miss, why bother...

BL is deadsville here now so I took a spin to 5 of the Kroger stores within a 5 mile radius of me today. In search of... The elusive Animaniacs 3. Nada.

The trend here is that every other store has the display, the same stuff that has been posted.

edit - Oh yeah, as for the "big" stores... I hit the biggest Megastore/Marketplace in Lexington, nothing.

i agree on the big store little store theory being hogwash... that employee was probably just talking to sound like she knew what she was talking about .... i found good stuff at a small store and nothing at some larger stores..... gonna hit 3 or 4 more in surrounding area... hoping for Looney Tunes Vol6...

I went to 5 Smiths around town today (was by them in their area), and managed to find quite a few goodies.

I picked up a complete series set I've been wanting for a long, long time: God, The Devil, and Bob. I also picked up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (original) Season 5 (pizza box set) (own S4 already, just need the other seasons now), Animaniacs Volume 3, and some Sex and the City single disc as a gift. I got pretty much everything I wanted from this deal, unless more sets are added later.

I wish I had found Invasion the series. I've been wanting that set ever since the show was canceled off of ABC (bastards). Watched all the episodes, so at the time I was cool without the set, but very much want it now. I got Threshhold and the other sci-fi show from that year that came out (the trifecta, which I can't remember at the moment. Hopefully I find it if I go to another Smiths.

Ask if they have more.... told over there... get over there... only the $9.99 stuff... re-ask same employee.... walks over there with me.... hmmm?... they were just here... notices employee washing floor.... asks "did you move box to clean floor?".... "nope".... "k- what happened to them?"... "Ask Bob".... Bob walks over and states.... "we have not had them for 6 months".... .... go back to original employee.... states "Bob is full of it. I just bought some last week. Must have sent them back or something"...
