I know, there's a WHOLE lot of schlock in there - but those Media Blasters triple features offer the retail version of each DVD for about $3.37 a piece (they still sell for about $15 individually). If any movie sucks too bad, I can probably make a profit selling it on Amazon - or at worst, get a couple bucks at a used video store and only be out the cost of a rental. And thanks so much to those who mentioned the price reduction on the Abbott and Costello set. I've been looking for a deal on it since I gifted my old "Franchise Collection" sets to my grand father - $46.79 is a great price!

All this should keep me more than occupied though November (of 2010, that is).

Checked my Wishlist, and a few that I was interested in had gone up, so I kept the order small. Funny Guy Collection contains Office Space, Napoleon Dynamite, and Young Frankenstein. Abbott & Costello was from the recommendations in this thread. I'll try to get make some money back by flipping the old out of print collections on half.com. Paper Chase was one of my favorite shows when I was in high school, looking forward to watching them with my teenage kids.

Well after spending the last week working through my wish list and coming up with exactly what to buy and making the order for $165 after the discount earlier today, I just had to come back and see what others were picking up.

All those picking up the Abbott & Costello collection caught my interest. While I have the 3rd set of the Best Of (8 movies), this collection contains 28 movies now on single sided disks instead of the flippers for $47 after the discount. And I checked out that I can easily get $17 for my current set. Too hard to pass up.

Now I'm out of here for good. I can't afford to see any other good deals.

They have raised some media storage prices in the last few hours. I bought the Oskar 1080 when it was $125.96. Now it is $133.52. Not a huge price increase, but still... I probably should have ordered two right away...
