Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

One more:

The Norm Show: The Complete Series $12.99

No other contributions? Each store seems to have a unique stock, so I'd expect to hear about other titles from elsewhere.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Stopped by today and saw a $1.99 DVD Buyout section of pretty recent MPI/IFC/Dark Sky titles. Not a ton of titles, maybe 20 or so, but some pretty decent stuff. Here's some of what I saw:

A Case of You
Ain't Them Bodies Saints
Americano
As Cool As I Am
ATM
The Canyons
Deadgirl
Eaten Alive
Frankenstein's Army
Grabbers
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret Season 1
A Lonely Place To Die
Manborg
Save the Date
Wrecked

I got Grabbers, Frankenstein's Army and Save the Date, already had Manborg and Eaten Alive.

Sleep Tight
Sleepwalk With Me
Mansome
Mr Nice
Eaten Alive
Manborg
The Samaritan
Ain't Them Bodies Saints
Chasing Madoff
The Ledge
With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story
ATM
Hard Rock Treasures
Hypothermia
Deadgirl
Knife Fight
Inescapable
The Objective
In Their Skin
Made For Each Other
Wake Wood
Frankenstein's Army
John Mellencamp: It's About You
Love, Wedding, Marriage
My Sucky Teen Romance
Java Heat
Wrecked
Resurrection (ABC documentary about Jesus)
Almost Human
Replikator: Clone to Kill

Another store also had:
The Other Woman
Super
Your Sister's Sister
Bunny and the Bull
White Lightnin'
Why Stop Now?

No sign of Americano or The Canyons.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

LaxBandit - Hopefully I'll be able to get to my nearest Ollies next week to advantage of the WWE DVD/Blu-Ray Sale.

Heads up, looks like Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in the United States is once again slashing prices on older WWE DVD sets!
Just like the last time, the rock bottom $2.99 and $3.99 prices are back.
Here’s a report on some of the DVDs/Blu-Rays that are included - courtesy of BlogofDoom . com -

A discount/closeout store called Ollie’s is selling a nice selection of WWE DVDs and Blu-rays for $3 and $4. Here’s what I remember them having -
Stone Cold: The Bottom Line (BR). The Rock: Most Electrifying Man (DVD). The John Cena Experience (DVD). WCW War Games (DVD).
The Best PPV Matches 2012 (DVD). The Best of RAW 2010 (DVD). Greatest Rivalries: Shawn vs Bret (BR & DVD).
The Best of Madison Square Garden (DVD). WrestleMania 22 (DVD). WrestleMania 23 (DVD).
SummerSlam Anthology: Vol. 2, 3 & 4 (DVD). OMG! Top 50 Incidents (DVD). Rock vs. Cena: Once in a Lifetime (DVD).

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Kind of amazed no one has posted on the Ollies thread in over a year....I have been a fan of Big Lots for , probably 20 years....but, man....I go in once a month...maybe, and find nothing (save bread on sale :/ ) haven't bought a DVD at one in 6 months...and this used to be THE time to find awesome stuff, as many of you know.
Anyway, thank God for Ollies! At least there are some DVDs to browse...and they have gotten some interesting stuff of late....Friday Night Lights, complete Series for $29.99, and the Rockford Files, complete series, also for $29.99!
I took these pics a few weeks ago, but it gives you an idea of the TV series they get in...yes, Mills Creek, not Sony, but still most of the series are $3.99-$4.99 now, I believe..(I think Brady Brunch is the Paramount version) I have also now seen season 2 of Soap pop up recently....video quality sucked originally so I assume it still does on the Mills Creek...the Dean Marten set is $12.99 or less....you might still find a season or 2 of Dennis the Menace, and Mr Ed pop up too...

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

I went into an Ollie's store for the first time in my life over the Thankgiving holiday. But that's because I was 500 miles away from home. It would definitely be a store I'd check frequently if I had a location nearby.

Wishing we had those kind of stores here in Chicago as I'd get that DM Roasts set and TJ Hooker DVD sets in a heartbeat for those prices.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Weird, this week DVDs have been 25% off...seems like a very odd time to lower the prices, doesn't it? Hope they don't stop carrying DVDs. And saw some new wrestling titles to boot...

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

The week before Christmas is odd for them to have a 25% off sale? That would be the time to get people in especially ones who need a cheap, last minute gift.

What "new" wrestling titles did you see?

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

I'd be interested in these, but no Ollie's nearby. But just the fact that they've been found at a retail outlet like Ollie's, has me somewhat confident I can find them cheap elsewhere down the road.

Really? I would have bought a few of these back then!

Never even heard of Ollie's until a few weeks ago where I visited one near Tampa, FL...

Picked up some really good deals!

The store I visited had multiples of volume 1 but no other volumes. They've all been put out on Blu-ray as well, so my interest isn't great.

They also had seemingly dozens of copies of Baggage Claim and The Oranges on Blu-ray. They had several diffferent complete TV DVD sets from Mill Creek, like The Rockford Files.

I stopped at my local Ollie's yesterday in the Philly burbs. DVDs were 75% off. They weren't with the books and other electronics, usually near the front of the store, but off to the other side, near the clothes.

Re: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet

Can only guess if they are a closeout store kinda, they try sale stuff as cheap as possible to move it out as fast as possible. wish had one close by to me but i checkd and they seem to be more in middle or lower states for some reason and not sure if they plan to expand out to east or west any time soon.
