DVDs at Rite Aid

My local Rite Aid has a hodgepodge of cds and dvds. Among the dvds, there are a few season sets for $9.99. I saw Veronica Mars seasons 1&2, and ER season 4.

Same type of thing here in California. Saw Wonder Woman season 1 and season 3 for $9.99 each. Not stupendous but a pretty good deal.

Veronica Mars season 2 for $9.99? I'm definitely going to visit my Rite Aid.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I stopped by one of the three or four Rite-Aids in town. They had the following for $9.99 each:

Wonder Woman Season 1
Wonder Woman Season 2
Dukes of Hazzard Season 4
The OC Season 2

I already have the Wonder Woman seasons...not interested in the others. Might check the other Rite Aid stores this week as well.

I found a couple of out of print Paramount titles at Rite Aid, including Seconds (with Rock Hudson) and The Brotherhood (with Kirk Douglas) but they were 12.99 each.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Oh NO...... Rite Aid is going to compete with Big Lots to see who can become the next DVD Crack.... but then again 9.99 is more than $6 and much more than $3... although a trade will cost about 9.99 when considering a $6 trade.... now to get the Rite Aid maps... lol......

Looks more like Rite Aid bought some of the same "stolen/should have been destroyed" stock that Big Lots has been selling!
Judging by that "Ralph's Supermarkets DVD Blowout" thread, looks like some grocery store chains may also have the same Warner goods....

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I looked at the Rite Aid last week. Picked up a 12-episode, 2-Disc set of "The Adventures Of Robin Hood" for $3.99.

They had Flintstones Season 4 for $12.99
SNL Best of 2006-2007 for $3.99

and a bunch of kung-fu movies for $3.99, but all of them were floaters.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Stopped at one today out of curiosity- all the DVDs were in a locked case and of course you couldn't see all of them. Somehow I now REALLY want to steal a full-screen Harry Potter disc.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I got Lois and Clark Season 1 at Rite Aid on Woodcroft Parkway in Durham, N.C. They also had the Dukes of Hazzard Season 4. Those were the only DVD tv sets I saw @ $9.99. All the others were movies and not that great of deals really.

Does anyone have any information on what to look for in Rite Aid... The ones I went to were really hit or miss and really nothing but full price old releases..

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I hit four Rite-Aids in my area today, and found a couple of genuine OOP Warner DVDs -- two volumes in The Chaplin Collection series:

A Woman of Paris/A King in New York (found this at three different stores)
The Circus (only one copy)

Also saw lots of MGM stuff for $3.99, similar to what's been seen at Big Lots, including some Soul Cinema and horror titles.

Don't miss out on the $4.99 CDs either. I bought albums from Radiohead (In Ribbons), the Decembrists, K. D. Lang, Diana Ross and Al Green, and saw CDs from Beck, Journey and R.E.M. (their latest album).

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

The Rite Aid in Cheshire CT

The OC Season 2 (1)
Wonder Woman s2 x2 (picked up one)

1 copy of Flintstones S2 Sealed @ 12.99

(above priced at 9.99)
TIN Box set of TV movies 4 DVDs/Movies(9.99) one or two of those left.

I was on my to work so I really did not have that much time to look, but I may just have to run back during lunch to see the rest of their inventory
Appears the other rite aids have a better selection.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I was wondering for those of you who have seen some Anchor Bay titles in your local Rite-Aid. What area/part of the country are you in? Has there been any multiples of whatever copy you have seen? And if you went to several store in your area, was each display pretty much the same or completely different in the amount of Anchor Bay titles mixed in?

I appreciate any info you can share and thank you in advance. Very much appreciated.

I am in the Boston area, at one Rite Aid I saw 3 Anchor Bay titles all for $2.99 a pop , last night I saw two titles at $3.99. There were no multiple copies of any of these titles.

Also they were all mixed in with every other DVD no special display.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I was in south Alabama today, where they have Rite Aids, so I went to some. Found no sets whatsoever and no movies I wanted for the prices they had. I did get several of the $4.99 CD's though, so it wasn't a total loss.
