Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
I'm thinking Jeeves and Wooster - The Complete Collection as a blind buy. Anyone have thoughts on this? I am a fan of Kids in the Hall, Monty Python, etc.

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
I sincerely hope it's good. I've blind bought it twice now. Once years ago based on recommendations here and my love of the novels. And then again the other day for the reduced footprint. Will gift the original. Still have never seen a minute of it....

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
I watched Jeeves and Wooster on PBS years ago, and thought that it captured the Wodehouse spirit perfectly.

It's not comedy ha-ha but rather a comedy of manners satirizing British social classes, particularly its upper crust.

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
Thanks OP ... after perusing the DD list, I was motivated to check Amazon Marketplace for a few titles ... I found new copy of Thriller (no not the MJ LP ... the '70s TV show) for $12 shipped.

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
picked up Rookies for a friend who is aspiring to be a police officer. He only got around to watching one episode, so I thought he would enjoy this. I enjoyed the series and have no intention of joining law enforcement, but its great.

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
GASP!!! HOLY CRAP! I've been waiting since I found out about the disc(s) for (since I've seen it again and again before) the seemingly annual A&E sale!
Picked up The Phillies 2008 World Series set. Even more awesome is the fact it has Harry Kalas' broadcast throughout it. He passed away the beginning of this season.

Am I likely to find a better price on the KITH megaset?

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
I've never understood why they don't make those biographies more affordable. They could put out sets w/ 4 to a disc. Instead they charge per espisode (which is only about 50 minutes).
Good price on the Agatha Christie's Poirot - The Definitive Collection. Anyone know if these are in seperate slim cases or a digipak. |

Sale ends July 9
Sale ends July 9
I finally ordered the Complete Rumpole for $40 and Rome - Rise and Fall of an Empire for $16. Now if the regular prices go higher that $53 and $21 respectively, then I chose wisely rather than wait for the 25% sale. ETA: I chose wisely. Rumpole went up to $62 and Rome went up to $25. Just goes to show it pays to watch DD year round, not just wait for the 25% sale and think that's the best deal.

Re: DD - 60% Off All A&E
How come when I click the link to the A&E Store I get sent to an "AffiliateFuture" website...what's going on?
