Dam right that "I'll buy that for a dollar".
That Oldboy tin sounds way to good to be true, it's a dollar-store how in the world would get there hands on sealed-tins?

If you notice the OP lives "just east of Smallville", so I think this deal is limited those with the last names Kent and Luther.

The $1 Shop in my town (Ft Scott,KS) only got 1 copy of the OldBoy Tin Can and I got it, my wifes cousin is dating the manager of the local shop so I get a heads up to all new $1 DVDs they get and get first pick They got like 2 copies of all the others and 4 or 5 copies of Bush's Brain. All the Tartan DVDs are gone now so idk if they are widely available or not. I didnt keep the Oldboy Tin Can because I had the single disc of it that I bought at Hastings years ago and I dont have room for those big tin cans so I sold it to a friend for $50

I believe the manager said they got them as close-outs from the studio because they went out of business or something

Re: TARTAN DVDs at the $1 Shop
I didnt name the price he did, I had it sitting on my "Junk Shelf" of stuff I was taking to hastings the next time I went there to trade for other stuff and he seen it and asked if I was getting rid of it I said ya and he said ill give ya $50 for it so I said ok and took the $49 profit. I bought the movie with the sole intent of trading it to hastings and thought $50 was more than I would get in trade-in value at hastings

I would have shot him to steal his hat. Then I would have crapped in his hat and mailed it to his widow. Then I would have stole the hat again.

Re: TARTAN DVDs at the $1 Shop
I did a yellow pages search for "dollar shop" in Ft. Scott, KS and the name of the store seems to be One Dollar Shop. I don't know how prevalent they are throughout the country, but there is one here (Topeka) also.
