All DVD exclusives and freebies - 5/31/09 and ongoing

I thought the Clone Wars Season 1 Blu-Ray would have several exclusives. But since it looks like no one is even carrying it, I guess not. I'm shocked but relieved. Instead of blowing God knows how much on all the different versions, I will now just order it from Amazon for $35.00. Not bad.

This thread is for the posting and discussion of all DVD exclusives and freebies.

These lists will likely be incomplete until Wednesday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Volunteers needed: I regularly go to Best Buy and Target; but don't visit the other stores every week. If you work at or regularly go to the Wal-Mart, FYE/TWEC chains, Costco, Borders, K-mart/Sears, Barnes and Noble, Blockbuster, Toys-R-Us, or any other store that has DVD exclusives; we'd appreciate any updates you could give us. I am slowly "retiring" from my weekly chain crawls, and will need your help to keep these threads useful.

saw this in store today trev. it comes with a small elmo plush (about 3.5 inches tall?) and kinda packaged like how the bestbuy wonder woman, green lantern, and justice league exclusives were packaged. alas, the only two at my target were crushed

Weird, mine didn't have the plush. Just standard case DVD with slipcover.

hmm... i may be mistaken then. in store yesterday, i was almost positive i saw the target exclusive sticker on the package to which i refer. i will have to go back and verify and give you a heads up

ah yesh! i was mistaken as is common for me lately and always. the set i saw was the "elmo's world happy holidays" gift set. looks like the target exclusive comes in a box with a mini elmo plush.

weird thing is looking this dvd online, it was released on 09/24/2002! i guess target re-released this for the holidays this year with a lil elmo plush to entice the sesame street 40th set customers?
