Re: Big Lots Part 4
Saw pretty much the same stuff others are mentioning at store #1. I'd guess about 75% restock from Sony, Warner, Focus Universal & key; & 25% new titles. None of the new titles are particularly exciting. Display was 4 wide by 3 deep total of 12 cardboard trays.
My store #2 once again said they got nothing. Last edited by MooMooMooMoo; 06-12-09 at 01:04 PM. |

Also picked up Renaissance, despite practically everyone saying it's more style over substance. For $3 I'll take that chance. |

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Finally got the "new" stuff here. Picked up:
Apollo 13 (2 disc) Chances Are (WS) Wise Guys Doctor Detroit Josie & the Pussycats(PG-13 version) and one that I don't recall being mentioned: Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. I remember when that VHS was one tough mother to find and now it's $3 on dvd. I guess that's a good thing, right? |

Re: Big Lots Part 4
So they are getting Anchor Bay titles. That's great news. I was kicking my self for not picking it up when it went OOP. Still haven't seen the new titles though.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
I picked up "big empty" a couple of weeks back, and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone that likes offbeat comedies like "the big lebowski"

Re: Big Lots Part 4
I'm actually wondering if DMCL is a shipment anomaly? I haven't seen anyone else post finding it and only one store in my area seems to have gotten them in. I saw at least 4 copies at the store where I found it and bought one.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
only one store by me has DMCL out of 5.
I finally got my Ride with the Devil and swapped my floater Slither. So I might be done till a new shipment? I've seen RwtD at 1 store... many copies Sweet and Lowdown ws/flipper at 2 stores... many copies Land of the Dead unrated/directors at 1 store... not many copies Romper Stomper 2 disc at 1 store... not many copies Gosford Park at 2 stores... many copies Seed of Chucky at 1 store... many copies Those hammer frankenstien discs at three stores...not many copies That's what I recall off the top of my head.

Riverside store, on Tyler Ave. right off the 91. they were in a $3 display only one level in height. I was there on the 12th. Land of the Dead was @ that store too.

Found Doctor Detroit at the Aston, PA store. However, I don't recall seeing other copies. Still hunting for Wise Guys and City of Lost Children.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
A blind buy, First Look's Meet Bill, with Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Alba & Elizabeth Banks. I couldn't pass up a plastic slipcover, and great cast, but know nothing about the film.

Picked up one of these too, just because of the nice physical presentation of the dvd. Haven't seen it yet, but I liked the premise. Can anyone else chime in?

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Surprisingly, I liked the movie a lot. Oddball kinda story at times that didn't make me lose my interest one bit. I went into it with low expectations which may have helped, but in the end, I highly recommend it.
