Don't know if this is the case with all stores, but I know one close to me closes at 6 p.m. on Sunday nights.

still haven't seen any of the new warner batch of movies though, but then again i'm almost dead broke so perhaps it wouldn't make much of a difference.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Just hit a Big Lots right before closing. Found Vols. 2 of Animaniacs and Superfriends. Didn't see Vol. 1 of either. Also spotted: Blade: The Complete Series, S1 of Life Goes On & Knots Landing, a season of Friends, and a bunch of different Dallas seasons.

Store near Reliant Stadium (Kirby side) had a display today with the James Bond SE titles and some others. Looked to be at least 5-6 copies of each JB.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Not certain if these were posted yet, but I found Mr. Skeffington, Pat and Mike, Annie Oakley, Wife Versus Secretary, Cabin in the Sky, My Reputation, David Copperfield and Father of the Bride today in Wisconsin.

They also had lots of copies of The Philadelphia Story, Born to Kill (really awesome noir!), The Petrified Forest (same thing as before), The Right Stuff, Ninotchka (a lot of fun!), Woman of the Year (my favorite Hepburn performance after The African Queen), etc.

I swear Big Lots is a dream come true for classic film lovers.

They are reporting they are open regular hours on July 4 and their typical Sunday hours are 10am to 6pm.

That Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection looks to be another rare find. In all the stores I've hit, I've only seen a single copy of it (which I picked up).

Same as my BL , just got back and most of the boxes were gone in just 2 days.
They seemed to be cleaning the racks for a new shipment as the bottom rack was cleared..but who knows when?, I will check back tomorrow.

I did pick up The Dish dvd

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Mine isn't putting everything out at once. Seems like they empty a few boxes, wait for them to sell down, then empty some more. They dont care that there are different titles not displayed. They just see them as "dvd restock". So I have to go back daily to see which new ones they put out.

(and if you ask about backstock, they claim every time that everything they have is out - LIARS!)

I just finished watching "Sweet Bird of Youth" starring Paul Newman and Geraldine Page. A great movie the old fashioned way.

An absolute bargain for only $3 at Biglots. I hope the studios keep dumping their classic films...

Wow! Did you pick this up? Would you be interested in picking up an extra for trade?
