NP... They also have multiples of Animaniacs V1, Pinky V1, Friends S5 and Roots (Next Gen)... It was 7:00 PM so they closed in a bit. They will be there.

Grab a cart on the way in.

cinemaphile - I'll look for your needs tomorrow in Richmond. And yes, mods, the trade talk probably resides in the exchange forum... But let it ride here please since we are just reporting in stock items.

Curious. What is the price on the "Wonder Woman: The Complete Series"? I'm gonna guess $18, but I could be wrong.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Thanks for all the reporting!

I picked up Animanics, S1, Night Court S1, Two Towers LE (I had a cheap version before, so this is a nice find for me) and The New Scooby Doo Movies. Also saw Pinky and the Brain S1 at mine, but none of the other tv shows.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Very little here (Pierce co, wa). Store #1 had Scooby Doo new movie & several Scoobie Doo 2 packs, +1 Looney Toons, 2 LOTR 2 Disc expanded &1 Animaniacs; Store #2 doesn't know what was on truck; Store #3 got nothing new though I finally found Sweet & Lowdown Flipper.

I'm really hoping to find the History Of R&R Box for $6!

ER seasons 2, 3, 7 and 9...

Also grabbed Animaniacs V2, Pinky and the Brain V2 and the History of Rock n Roll set. Not sure if I'll keep those but I couldn't pass.

They had multiples of the above - minus ER (I grabbed the only copy of season 9 and there were singles of 7 and 3 I think, a few copies of 2). They also have Nip/Tuck S4, Dallas, Dukes S6, Joey S1, The O.C. S2, the Scooby's, The West Wing S2 and a new flat of WB titles (mostly snappers).

I'm off tomorrow so I might check the Richmond location... Can't really afford it (hence, I picked up nothing extra to trade this time) but the ER score makes me want to check there anyhoo. Just in case.

I may be able to pick something up for trade if anyone has found any of the other ER sets. If you have or see seasons other than 2, 3, 7, 9 and grab an extra then let me know what you're looking for and I'll check here.
I was in that same store earlier in the afternoon. The cashier indicated they had just received 12 boxes of DVDs the night before and had sat them out that morning.

Interested to know if you find anything at that Richmond location. I do a fair amount of traveling through KY and might have to work out a trip that direction.

That other Lexington location still has nothing but a few Super Bowl sets (you mentioned they lacked anything a day or two ago).

At another store, there was about 8-10 copies of the LA Lakers Complete History but very little of any other sets. Strange...

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I hit two Big Lots near St. Louis (Kingshighway & Lemay Ferry Rd) and didn't find any box sets. However, they both put out a re-stock of Universal, First Look and Warner titles.

I picked up:

Apollo 13: Anniversary Edition
Meet Bill (with slipcover)
Find Me Guilty
All The Queen's Men
Ziegfeld Follies
For Me and My Gal
Flying Down to Rio
The Gay Divorcee
Follow the Fleet

Gonna hit the stores again in a few days to see if any box sets appear.

Hit up a few BigLots and found most of the stuff that has been listed so far. Also saw this Tracey Ullman set, which I don't think has been mentioned yet:

I found:

West Wing S2
Joey S1
Night Court S1
Dukes of Hazzard (Can't remember which season. It's the one with the replacement cousins)

There were about 10 copies of each title, and I passed on all of them.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

My wife stopped by yesterday while she was in Alexandria, LA. The only boxsets she found were "West Wing" Season 2 and "Night Court" Season 1. She said the clerk told her they only received one box this week. I can't seem to convince my wife that they most likely replenish the rack each morning after the previous day's pickings. I'm going to check personally today and tomorrow when we're back that way to see if the rack has experienced any kind of growth spurt of goodies. I'll be happy just to find that "Wild Bunch" 2-disc some have mentioned, which she didn't know to look for yesterday.

Modesto, CA (eastside store)

Stopped in to find the DVDs shelves stocked to maximum capacity, with 15 copies of:

Roots: The Next Generation priced at $6

stocked in the back of one rack. I also saw a smattering of Warner titles that weren't there a few days ago, which leads me to believe they have boxes of new product in the back and are filling in shelves every morning to replace numbers sold. Picked up:

Quick Change

and spotted:

Queen Christina (Garbo)
Skyjacked (Charlton Heston)
Woman of the Year (Hepburn/Tracy)

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Hit all 3 local stores again (Pierce County, WA ) Found probably 80% of the box sets mentioned. No Dallas, No Drew Carey. No ER, No Friends, No Nip/Tuck Blu Ray, No Blade, And most importantly to me, NONE of the most recent batch of classic Warner Brothers titles with Annie Oakley, East Side West Side, Cabin In The Sky etc.

I think I saw all the other boxes mentioned the last few days.

I grabbed only one Roots, mine did have all 4 discs (sigh)!

I am now officially broke with maxed cards (btw, did anyone notice BL is now offering In house credit at 9.9%?)

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Didn't make it to Richmond today... Not sure if I will this weekend. We'll see... I'm only looking for other ER seasons but I haven't seen anything specific reported here yet other than 2, 3, and 7 (I'm the only one to find 9 so far, that I can tell).

That said, I went up to the Georgetown location and they had a much smaller selection of the box sets with most of the same titles as Eastland.

But they have these that I didn't see there... NFL Vault 1960-1970, Wonder Woman S3, the Denver Broncos (why couldn't this be the Niners... grumble), The O.C. S3, Dukes S5 and one lone copy of Smallville S4 - which sounded like multiple floaters.

If I see specific seasons of ER that I'm looking for (any but 2, 3, 7, 9) posted here then I will drive to Richmond. And I can make an excuse to check Mt. Sterling as well since I need to head that way at some point soon...

Oh! I also stopped by the other Lexington location and they just got in 5 of those flat boxes full of the WB titles. Most of the 2 disc SE's were there... Right Stuff, Wild Bunch, Last Samurai, Gothika, etc. Already have them all but they are now overflowing at that store. Hopefully they'll get sets in the next few days since Eastland had the same display out last weekend.

Picked up Jeremiah Johnson (keepcase) and a Diet Coke.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I've now gotten almost everything I want.

I picked up a couple extra Smallville S7 Blu and Nightmares and Dreamscapes, if anybody has Animaniacs 1-2 or ER S9 they'd like to trade.

(edit: see signature for remaining wants/haves)
