Re: Big Lots Part 4

Stopped by mine and they had the Justice League 3-pack and Scooby-Doo movies. That was it. Will check back in a week or so.

That's kinda how mine was. About 15 each of Animaniacs V1 and Pinky & the Brain V1, and 30+ New Scooby Doo Movies (which is a damn shame since I paid full price for that years ago). I have a feeling there is more in back, but I didn't ask. I'll be hunting regularly until I find me that Wonder Woman set, plus other animated box sets. I'll pass on ER and Dallas, like many of you are.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

My girlfriend went to two other Big Lots before her work event. None had the restock.

I'll check again throughout the weeks, but if anybody finds a copy of Nip/Tuck on Blu there, I'd be willing to pay the cost plus shipping.

No Dynomutt/Scooby, that's a new one to look out for.
I'd have sent you a Scooby/Dynomutt set if you had grabbed that other Wonder Woman series.

It seems as if that Wonder Woman series may be the most elusive of the new stuff. I'll make some more rounds tomorrow. These deals are extra sweet when you have to hunt 'em down.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

The store I was just at had lots of Joey S1, Night Court S1, Dukes of Hazzard S5 & 6, West Wing S2, Roots, Animaniacs V1, History of the L.A. Lakers, History of Rock and Roll, Nip/Tuck S4 BD, and a couple copies of Superbowl XI-XX & XXI-XXX.

Still no Dallas, ER, Superbowls XXXI-XL, I-X, Dallas Cowboys, NFL Films Archives (about the AFL/NFL merger), Wonder Women or Pinky and the Brain V2.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Went to a BL I was at 3 days ago. They had nothing then. Now they had many Scooby Doo Movies, and two Thundercats S1 V1 (6 disc set). I bought the Thundercats to trade (hopefully for a V2). I saw Dukes of Hazzard S3 and S4 at Marshalls today as well (9.99 there). My quest continues...

Super Bowl sets at the Turfland Mall location in Lexington, KY this evening... Seen em', don't need em'... Other than that, nothing new. Resisted the urge to scoop up 10 Bonds. I need to eat.

I'll check Eastland this weekend though... Would love to score some ER.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Hit Big Lots this afternoon and nothing. Went again tonight in search of those Dallas seasons and they had stocked:

Joey S1
Dukes of Hazzard S5 & 6
The OC S2
Lakers
Scooby-Doo 3-pk (are these the old shows from the original Scooby run?)
Pinky & Brain V2

No Dallas An employee that was near the DVD's told me they got another truck today and it hasn't been worked yet, so to check back.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Went in today and found nothing great. They did have a tall MGM display with the Bonds and other titles. Picked up Never Say Never Again. Started to pick up Viva Knievel and Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind but chose to go pick up Summer School at Walmart for $3.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Two of my stores had a TON of additional box sets. Picked up:

The Scooby-Doo! Collection(Scooby-Doo's Greatest Mysteries, Winter WonderDog, Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers)
Dukes of Hazzard: the Complete 5th Season
Dukes of Hazzard: the Complete 6th Season
Joey: the Complete 1st Season
Thundercats: Season 2 - Volume 2
Animaniacs: Volume 2
Pinky & the Brain: Volume 2

Also saw many of the titles others have listed but don't recall anything that hasn't been mentioned.

WANTED: Thundercats-complete season 1 volume 1, complete season 1 volume 2, complete season 2 volume 1. Will trade or purchase. Most titles other than the Wonder Woman complete set are still available in my area.

If you don't have your locations underneath your name, could you please post which city & state you found your sets?

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I gotta stay away until I have money again. But someone said the promotion officially starts on the 12th, so I'll be hitting my Big Lots on that date just in case.

Re: Big Lots Part 4

No box sets in Derry on Monday, but did find the newest Warner batch with NO UPC scratches, YAY!!
All of these Warner titles now have the white sticker over the barcode instead of the nasty scratch thru. This batch was full of musicals, lots of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Elvis, John Wayne, lots of classics, etc.

Also picked up a couple of other random titles.

Warner titles:
Cabaret (snapper w/Gold Slipcover) this appears to be non-anamorphic, I'm returning it
Paradise Now
Around The Bend
Gothika (Two-Disc Special Editon)
Private Parts
Jeremiah Johnson
Before Sunrise
White Sands
City Hall
Diner
Imaginary Crimes
Brainstorm
The Right Stuff (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Hero At Large
McQ
They Were Expendable
Where Eagles Dare
Harum Scarum
Pat And Mike
East Side, West Side
The Big Street
There Was A Crooked Man...
Ninotchka
Steelyard Blues
Hallelujah
Kitty Foyle
Wife Versus Secretary
Humoresque

Others:
Winter Passing (Fox)
Eddie And The Cruisers (MGM)
The Kids In The Hall: Tour Of Duty (WIN Media)

Re: Big Lots Part 4

Went back to one of 2 local BL yesterday WED to grab something for a gift that I did not grab on SUN.... The racks were again fulll with new stuff.... Snagged Brainstorm Remastered Animorph to replace my non-animorph copy (which WAS NOT THERE on SUN).... Anyway, when checking out, I asked when they get new shipments or put out new stock... and they .... get this... told me .... on Thursdays........ Which is impossible... since there was new stuff between Sun & Wed... anway, that tells me 1) they don't know and wanted to say anything or 2) they put it out any day but get new stuff on Thurs and 3) it might be worth a return trip to a store you already visited....

I think option 2 is very likely, and 3 is an absolute must... One of my locations had so many DVD's I gave up on looking through them all since it was giving me a headache (they have them down low so I have to crouch or bend down or kneel). I did score The Right Stuff (Two-Disc Special Edition) though, so I didn't walk away empty handed. I'm mainly looking for those boxsets though...

Re: Big Lots Part 4

I went to my local Big Lots on Sunday and I didn't see any of this new stuff then, none of the season sets or anything. I called the store earlier just for the heck of it and asked if they had the new shipment of the season sets and stuff, and they said yes. They said they got them in Tuesday and they put them out Tuesday night.

I just went out there, and sure enough a lot of the stuff mentioned here was sitting there. I didn't see everything mentioned, no BDs, but I did pick up a few of the things I wanted.

Anyway, if you checked this past weekend and they didn't have anything and you haven't been back, it may be a good time to do so now instead of waiting for this coming weekend.
