Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Yeah, $27.99 is their starting price for most new-release BDs, though occasionally you'll see one for $29.99 or $25.99. They're bad about putting instant rebate (IR) signs up. My club rarely does, especially for the IRs they usually have on new titles, which only last 5-7 days, so they expire before someone remembers to post the mark-down. That $8.99 deal (after $5 IR) never got a sign posted for it. They're hardly selling any of those titles. I know if shoppers saw an $8.99 price tag instead of $13.99, they'd clean out. The only way I find out about most of them is because I work there, so I check the system. You could always call or go to customer service and have someone check the system for an IR on that item. Don't have them do a price check via the register as the IR will not show up that way, you'll still get $27.99 showing. I oughta just put a table in the initial post to keep updated with current IRs as I bring a print-out home everyday with new stuff.

Thanks so much. I appreciate your help. I just called my store and they have those rebates just as you said. Luckily it's on my way home and not a detour for me. I just can't believe they are not putting the signs up. That is so stupid. I would buy a lot more there.
Thanks again.
Dirk

Robot Chicken SWIII was 10.99. I only saw one half-hidden copy though.
They still had some Family Guys for 13.99 and Babylon V's have reappeared at $19.99.

This was posted on blu-ray.com.
Fast and Furious Blu-ray deal:
$14.99 + tax. It was $27.99-$8 instant rebate-$5 coupon located on the in-store BJ's July flyer (coupon is located on the last page).

Updated as of 08/10. They reinstated that IR on the Sony titles, except they're $9.99 instead of $10.99 this go-round; brought back a couple of the more recent DVD releases with steeper IRs (Inkheart, Friday the 13th); etc.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
kk725 will the IR on new release DVDs and blu-rays show up on in store price checker scanners? Just asking because Race to Witch Mountain showed up as $27.99 on blu-ray the day after release when I scanned it to check.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Updated initial post. A lot of stuff died on the 16th. Couple new DVD IRs. Slim pickings, right now.
Bummer... they may not be running that IR in Georgia. That would be very odd, 'cuz those discounts come down from home office, but it's possible.
It was very odd, but didn't look like BJ's was getting in the BD for that title (at least not on the 18th)... just the DVD, which was $18.99, no IR. That was just off of me calling and checking with someone. Seems really strange... you might check with you local club. This could be an NC thing only.
Nope... when you do a price check with the register, the IR will NOT show up. You have to either have them look it up in the system, or actually ring it up for the instant rebate to kick in.

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Anyone know the price for the Hannah Montana blu-ray? Hopefully $27.99 with $7 IR to make it $12.99 after coupon. Also, Simpsons season 12 price? Thanks!

Re: BJ's Wholesale Club DVD Deals
Cool, so subtract another $10.00 off with the Blu-Ray coupon and its $9.99 before tax.
Angelfaerie52 - theres a link to the $10.00 off Blu-Ray coupon in the "Disney Coupon for Hanna Montana movie" thread
which is located in the "DVD Bargains" forum here.
Whats up with the weird instant rebate for season sets of Golden Girls ($6.55) and Alias ($4.65)?
Why not just make that $7 and $5 as the instant rebate? or are they trying to be like Wal-Mart
and make final price all weird to catch the buyer into thinking thats a better deal so buy it at my store.
(And as we all know its not - as Target has the better deals for those - well thats if you can find them!)
