Besides the titles mentioned above, I also saw "The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch" at my local 99 Cents Only Store!

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Salem's Lot is a decent movie, I'm down for that if I can find it.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

I'd probably pick on "Helter Skelter," "James Dean," and "Salem's lot" if I can make my way over there...

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

I paid $9.99 a while back for Evel Knievel(I like George Eads from CSI) so .99 is a good deal for that movie.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Saw the following dvds for 99 cents each...

A Slight Case of Murder (starring William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman)
Race Against Time (snapper case) (starring Eric Roberts, Cary Elwes)
Framed (snapper case) (starring Rob Lowe, Sam Neil)
Salem's Lot (starring Rob Lowe, Donald Sutherland, Rutgar Hauer)
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (starring Michael Caine, Patrick Dempsey)
James Dean (snapper case) (starring James Franco)
Avenger (starring Sam Elliott, Timothy Hutton)
Evel Knievel * (starring George Eads, Fred Dalton Thompson, Beau Bridges)

The UPC codes were not defaced.

*Note: On the back of the case it says: "Widescreen Version This film has been modified as follows from its original version: It has been modified to fit your screen" Then on the front of the dvd there is a sticker on the shrink wrap and it says "Widescreen Edition"

They didn't have the only one I wanted, Helter Skelter. I'll have to visit another location...

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Strange, there is no shrink wrap on Helter Skelter. They also finally got in the best of F-Troop collection.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Damn, I wish I wasn't reminded of the best of F-Troop. That was the only title that I didn't see the last time there was a thread like this going. They got all the other WB tv hits but not F-Troop.

Hit up another 99 cent store and found Helter Skelter. No shrink wrap here too. Actually I kinda like it without the shrink wrap. You can open the keepcase and inspect the dvd. There was one keepcase that was missing the dvd. I can't believe someone would steal a 99 cent dvd.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Here are the details for a couple more of these 99 cent dvds:

Helter Skelter (Director's Cut) (starring Jeremy Davies, Allison Smith) special features include commentary by director John Gray and producer Mark M. Wolper, Not rated, Color/137 mins.

Best of MAD tv seasons 8,9,10, Not Rated, Color/175 mins.

I picked up a couple extra copies of some of these 99 cent dvds. They will make great stocking stuffer gifts. (Christmas is only 9 months away!)

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Framed (rob lowe)
20,000 leagues under the sea 1997 (michael caine)
james dean with james franco
Helter skelter 2004
Evel Knievel 2004

No Salem's Lot which is what I wanted the most. Time to hit another store.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Thanks for the info. Picked up "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" (came with a theater voucher to see "Poseidon"), "Race Against Time" and "Salem's Lot". Shiny.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Technically, the price is 99.99 cents. The .99 Cent Only stores raised their prices a few months ago to 99.99, which they round up to a dollar.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

Spotted a few more at another 99 cents store:

Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl (starring Patricia Heaton, Jeff Daniels)
Word of Honor (starring Don Johnson, Jeanne Tripplehorn, John Heard)
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (snapper case) (starring Jane Powell, Howard Keel)

They also restocked the Best of Friends series, vols, 3, 4, 5, best birthdays and other "best of" television series, etc.

All of this stuff seems to be Warner Bros, Turner Broadcasting, TNT Entertainment, various television dvds...

The UPC codes are not defaced.

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

The whole case of Best of Mad TV was gone today. I've seen Debra Wilson, she plays Oprah and Lil Kim on the DVD, at this particular 99 cents store a lot, I wonder if she bought the case?

Re: 99 only new DVD stock

The Best of Mad tv 8,9,10 is not a plentiful as some of the other titles based on the stores I have visited.

The dvd comes in a bright green keepcase. I bought an extra copy because I wanted the keepcase and not the disc.

I watched the dvd and laughed my ass off at some of the sketches. Until they come out with the full season sets (who knows when or if they do), for 99 cents you can't go wrong...
