According to digital bits, Ben Hur is going on moritorium until the end of 2011, then there will be a super duper version on dvd & blu.

I read that.
"Ben-Hur" is a four disc set with nearly everything you could ask for.
I'm puzzled by what more they could add. My only request is that they carry ALL the extras from the existing box set and then more. I will rebuy, but only as a soild up-grade; like what happen with the last SE, the snapper case. Well worth the dip (I want to put a number to that, but I'm not sure how many times it's been issued on DVD).
Granted this hasn't been seen at the stores; the two disc SE for "Citizen Kane" is also going into moritorium. This I can see getting more extras.

Re: DVDs at TJ Maxx and Marshalls
I never found Ben Hur at any of the local stores. It may be time to try and trade for it.
Edit:
I found it today. I guess things are a little slower getting to the Midwest.
The cashier looked disappointed she didn't find it first.

Re: DVDs at TJ Maxx and Marshalls
In Bruges, turned out to be PV... Played fine but had light scratches.
Lesson learned: Check for title stickers and double check that they have not been razor sliced and repackaged. I spotted a few this evening that were.
I'm wondering if there's not a lot/some of PV mixed in with the Marshalls discs that peeps aren't reporting on.
The Dirty Dozen... I found tonight at the same store that did not have it a couple of weeks ago. Only one copy. Slashed UPC... No complaints.
But, at least here, they covered the slash with the Marshalls price tag... You can feel it, before you buy, if that bothers you. Other than that, factory sealed.

I saw The Mummy (1959) on clearance at Marshalls for $2 and at TJ Maxx for $3 this week. That's the Hammer Studio version starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.
