I'm pretty sure the codes have never worked on pre-orders at DD during the sale. You have to wait until the items are in-stock on release day, or the codes won't work.

You can use the coupon codes on pre-orders at DVDPlanet though. They've worked on all my Blu-Ray pre-orders that will be released during the sale.

I like the separate thread for orders, which people seem to be missing, because I like checking for any info of good deals or whatever without having to go through 20 pages of what people ordered and missing something.

I ordered the MST3K 20th anniversary and it's backordered. I'm hoping I can somehow still get it through the sale but I'm doubting that'll happen.

Well, considering this is one of their major sale periods and by de facto, having a shitload of emails, phonecalls, and orders, I'd say no, you're shipment probably isn't going to be shipped on Saturday when you made an order Friday night.

What would be great, would be a thread with orders from both stores that pointed out which titles were cheaper in which store. I know I researched such stats on my shopping list and bought some at DD and some at DVDPlanet, then listed which was cheaper where. If anyone else did the same thing, it might be a nice bit of extra info to pass on.

I am impressed I must say. I made my order around 8pm Thursday night. They listed A Christmas Story BD being out of stock, then I finally got a email Saturday morning saying my order was recieved and being processed. Got a email yesterday saying order shipped, just checked tracking and will be at my house tomorrow. Very impressed on that quick of shipping and the days it took to make the order to get to my house

First order. I kept it cheap for now. DD is also having a sale on MGM catalog titles for $5.99. With the 25% off on top of that, these movies come out to $4.49! Over at DVDPlanet, these same movies are selling for $9.72. I was worried that the MGM sale would had ended when the 25% off started, but it seems to still be going on.
