Thanks Speedy for the prices! Well, it's a shame to see so many employees lose their jobs, but in all fairness, Circuit City does truly suck. Whenever I set foot in that abomination, the employees act aggravated. I don't know when this economy is going to get better, it's downright depressing at this point, especially at this time of the year. Oh, and FYI for anyone buying Hellboy2, the single disc and triple disc are both $17.99 on Amazon.com, quite odd....

Lucky you. I don't get to pricematch CC to BBY any more since all the CC stores in my area are closing and they stopped putting the CC ad in the local newspaper last week. I almost never bought at CC (due to poor customer service and selection), but I sure used their ad to PM a lot at BBY and WMT. I'm going to miss that. :-(

I assume that other people in areas where CC is closing also no longer get CC ads in their newspapers?

Don't go looking for new releases even in the stores that AREN'T closing.

My CC today had a sign up saying "Due to shipping problems/delays, this week's music, movie, and game new releases will not arrive on time. Prices will be honored once product arrives."

Only a matter of time before the whole chain is dead, I think.

I was not able to find it anywhere and none of the stores (4) I hit had ANY "Hellboy 2" DVDs at all but had other releases for today. A couple of managers told me that their delivery courier is DHL and they just layed off alot of people so that is the delay but they are expected to come in and to just check back.

This is only partly true.. my Circuit City *did* have in Call of Duty: World At War which released today, but they did NOT have any new movie release, or ANY new music release, besides Kung Fu Panda.

The sign said "Due to problems with the supplier, we do not have Hellboy 2 at this time, please ask a customer service rep for details". I asked a customer service rep, just to see what they'd say, and they directed me to try Best Buy across the street, which was slightly ironic.

They told me NO Circuit City is getting in the new movie releases, and they don't think they will be getting them in. But games, they got those, at least Call of Duty, they had it for every system it came out on. The other movies they didn't have, that I can remember, were The Perfect Holiday and Clone Wars.

I got the free $10 gift card too, I better spend it before it's too late though =X

Even if it is DHL's problem, like what was written above, this reflects REALLY poorly on CC... it's bad enough HP and Sony have taken their business elsewhere, this makes it look like movie studios are now pulling out of supporting Circuit City as well, even if that's not the case (which I still think it is).

One of the managers I spoke with actually took the time to show me on the computor that the "HB2" DVDs are actually "in transit". Keeping my fingers crossed. As to them telling you to "go across the street to Best Buy", that is just plain rude! It is funny because some of the so-called associates said that no one had gotten any "HB2" DVDs, not Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc. then when I told them that every store did they were dumbfounded! LOL! As much as I dislike CC, I would hate to see it go. And if it did, one less place to worry about getting exclusives from!

Still no Hellboy 2 DVDs at any Northern Virginia stores as of last night.

Did anyone anywhere find Hellboy 2 at a Circuit City?

Their web site is down/flaky right now as well.
