I've been a longtime looker for the past 2 years in this one particular thread which has helped me out on occasions.
Anyway despite this being possibly the only post I'll ever make I thought you might like to know that the movie 'Evangelion 1.0: You are (not) alone' will be released on DVD this month in Australia by distributor Red Ant (they normally focus on PC games, not sure how they jumped in front of Madman) Due to this forum's rules I can't post any links (damn spammers!) but if you google up "Red Ant" & "Evangelion" you will find it, 3rd link after ANN (AnimeNewsNetwork) The cover looks like a live-action shot of the EVA unit standing in the middle of the street with some clouds in the sunset for the background. The DVD will be a 1 disc set only, no special features of any kind and will only have jap with english subtitles with default audio (which I think is 5.1 DTS). How accurate the subtitles will be since Red Ant have never subtitled anything to my knowledge is another matter The RRP is AU$29.95 and is scheduled for release on 19 November 2008, but another source says 12th November (perhaps because its an online store so waiting is taken into account) Unfortunately your trustworthy EzyDVD.com.au doesn't have it (seems like its going to be one of those hard to find titles) but luckily you can still import through DVDCrave.com.au which have very cheap international rates Last edited by backslashio; 11-02-08 at 11:54 AM. |

FWIW, hulu just added a few new shows to their current line-up, including xxxHolic, Shikabane Hime and Black Blood Brothers. I'm going to watch the first few episodes of BBB to see if it warrants a purchase of the soon to be released box set.
