Chit! I just bought Painkiller Jane from them the other day, and now it is part of the B1G1F (and still the same price). I know they stopped their 30 day price guarantee. Do they do any form of price guarantee anymore?

Am I the only one who thinks that PBS DVDs are the biggest rip off? I want to get Mister Rodgers and Sesame Street for the kids but they just can't seem to get their stuff together and release some nice large box sets of these episodes and when they do release them it's like 6 bucks an episode. Crazy.

Sorry for the OT rant.

It might help some to know that to qualify for free shipping, your purchase needs to be $25 before the discount of the free box set is applied. For instance, you can purchase 2 of the $12.99 sets and receive free shipping.

Thanks OP for the heads up on this sale!

Nice pick up! I had two $21.99 sets and added a filler title because I thought I had to. I'll just convince myself that I wanted Leeches anyway........

I was another who bought Painkiller Jane on the 13th when it was posted on dvdtalk. I've emailed customer service to see if they will apply the promotion. I'd rather not have to return the dvd and place another order...but if thats what I have to do, then i'd rather get an extra dvd set for the price of return shipping. I'm an amazon prime member, so the set actually arrived this morning by 2-day mail.

MY ADVICE: Order some of the cheaper ones IMMEDIATELY (Like Painkiller Jane).

I believe that some of these prices will raise by tomorrow ... like when HIMYM was 19.99 for seas 1 and 2, but when Amazon realized it was part of a sale (a while back) raised it to 29.99.

Just a heads up!

I just used it about a week ago and they honored it. Are you sure that that policy is no more?

And here was the response (which ended up in a refund of $15.99 to me - so, result was free Painkiller Jane)

'Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com.

I'm sorry, but in order to take advantage of this promotion, you must place a qualifying order during the specified promotion period, while supplies last.

We are unable to apply special discounts to items ordered before or after the dates of this promotional offer. Again, I am sorry if this causes you any inconvenience.

Due to the circumstances surrounding your order, I have made a one-time exception to our standard policy. I've requested a refund of $15.99 to the payment method you used for your original purchase. This refund should go through within 2 to 3 business days. You should see it as a credit on your next statement.

You can also view completed refunds by clicking the "Your Account" link on the top right-hand side of the Amazon.com homepage and clicking "View Recent and Open Orders" in the Orders section. Completed refunds will appear at the bottom of an individual order's summary page.

I hope this solution is satisfactory. We appreciate your business and look forward to your next visit to our store.'

The Sledge Hammer sets are great IMO. And I paid 34.99 each for them couple of years back. Pretty packed sets. Trust me. I know what i'm doing.

yeah id love a sesame street compilation of dvds (but it would prolly be in a 243-disk box set lol). i dunno why they dont do it, but im guessing its because sesame street doesnt really seem to be interested in making a grip of money. i think they do what they do for the sake of it. kinda nice imho though.

and just fyi, ive ordered that mr rogers red sweater dvd twice and both have come without the red sweater

Got mine today and I'm not impressed with the packaging. Season 2 was fine, but the plastic "pages" that hold the DVDs were shattered in Season 1 (so I asked for a replacement to be sent). Hopefully the replacement comes in safe and sound.
