I know it's usually a crapshoot, but has anyone ever seen Gremlins 2 in a keepcase, rather than the old Snapper cases that WB has since dropped?

My "40th Anniversary" comment was directed at Speedy because both DVDs are marked as being "40th Anniversary" in the OP.

In any case, I think I'll be getting the CR 3-disc from CC unless BB has a lower price, which seems unlikely. Thanks Speedy!
Sorry.

Anything special on this? Single disc, right?
Wondering the same thing. Is there any difference from the previous release of this on DVD?

Search the DVDTalk Forum for details.

It's out there.

I'm too weak to get it at the moment

Bunch of new extras, the first release had the 1954 'Climax Mystery Theater' TV version of Casino Royale and an interview with Val Guest here's what's on the 40th:

Is the Halloween (original) (listed as $4.99 in CC and $6.99 in BB) the special 2-disc set? Not the remake.

Thanks. Based on all the info I can find, not worth a double dip for me. It wasn't an all time favorite of mine, so I'm happy w/ the old version I have.

But there are like 50 re-releases of Halloween (the original). I'm wondering if the ones listed on both the CC and BB ads is the special 25th? anniversary 2-disc set. What I'm basically asking is that is this the DVD that's on sale:

there aren't really any alternatives...unless it's the one that doesn't have the slipsleeve I guess, but that makes for the same *disc* either way.

Looks like I'll have to hit up CC tomorrow for the Texas Chainsaw 2004 SE.

Bought a cheap copy off Ebay and the DVD trays are shattered.

I bought a bunch of the horror titles yesterday. My local CC only had about 1/2 of the advertised movies in the sale bins. Some, like Child's Play & 1408, were in the Halloween display and marked $9.99 when they were actually in sale for less. P2 was in the regular horror section and marked at full price, but rang up on sale. So don't be afraid to do a little hunting for the titles that you can't find in bins. The only ones I couldn't find at all were Pet Sematary and Children of the Corn.

CC has always been the WORST for actually having sale titles in stock. So use these early ad posts the way i do:

I see speedy's posts, see what I want, and then go into CC a day or 2 before. I find the movies I want, and stash them elsewhere - you know, hide "Child's Play" in the middle of the Drama section or something. then i can go back any time after the ad starts and not have to be there at opening on sunday to get what i want! works every time!

of course, this method involves going there twice, but for me I live only like 5 minutes away.
