I've been using the code REDBOX with all my different credit cards because its good the first time only. Tonight I rented Still Waiting and I thought It was hilarious. No it was not the original but it was still really funny and definitely worth a free viewing.

I noticed that last week. The funny thing is, when you sort the DVDs by release date, the catalog titles are sorted by when they went into the machine, not when they were originally released on DVD.

Speaking of codes, did anyone who gets theirs on their cell phone, get it real late last week? I didn't get it until 11:30 p.m.!

I noticed it when they started this as well. Not sure how much I like it since I usually just click on the regular search and page through the ones listed and now it feels more "cluttered" with all those extra titles. Wonder what the rental market is for titles like Sleepless in Seattle? In most cases, you can get these titles from the local library.

Anyway to tell which locations have Blu-rays (and do the codes work with them for free)? I am moving and the supermarket by my house has a Redbox...I just have not gone in yet.

I don't think so. If I remember right in order for a title to show up online it must have at least 2 copies in the box, and they only put single blu rays when the do. I'm in NJ and all the boxes I've tried I have yet to actually see a BR disc yet.

It was mentioned earlier that only Wal-Mart Redboxes had Blu-ray at this point. Not sure if this is still true.

Also I saw that this is good for a $1 rental...are all the rentals $1?

You will need a credit (or debit, I believe) card. Even though the promo code is good for a free night's rental, your card is needed so it can be charged $1/day if you don't return the movie.

And yes, all the rentals are $1.

I got the JBG123 code from the redbox blog site this morning and went around 7am cst to a redbox location and it told me the code was invalid!
