Does Redbox email you a receipt when you rent a movie using a free code? When are receipt usually emailed: when you rent the movie or after you return it?

Both. You actually end up with three emails per rental. One confirming the rental, one the return, and one receipt.

Maybe I typed in my email wrong. I've rented and returned a movie and rented another movie last night and haven't gotten any emails. Both movies were free.

Speaking of which, will there be a code for a free rental today?

thanks for the tip.

got 'Street kings' for free.

Not bad 7.5 out of 10.

I think I'm getting rid of blockbusters online.
too slow and I wouldn't surprise if 'Redbox' and the other
'Movie In the Box' places start adding more and better movies.

"Crap movies" is entirely subjective. Given the obvious limitations on how many titles can even be stored in a Redbox, I have often been impressed by the balance between mainstream and less well-publicized releases; between grown-up movies and kid's flicks and among the various basic genres. I live in a town with one movie theater (with eight screens) and our only brick & mortar video rental store rarely offers anything that wasn't a mainstream release. Believe me, my wife and I greatly welcome Redbox's assortment (to say nothing of the pricing scheme).

Two titles we rented via Redbox that we hadn't even heard of were Sex & Breakfast and Shattered. The former was too preachy for my taste, but we enjoyed the latter enough that we bought it at Best Buy when it was on sale recently. I confess my Netflix membership is not threatened by Redbox, but it is certainly an improvement over our otherwise meager movie options. I suspect many Redbox users will find this the case.

Don't forget, you can use REDTREE or any other working code once with each one of your credit cards.
