Before I started receiving the codes myself, I would come up with a little phrase like the one you just stated to help me remember the code whenever I saw it in this thread.

Picked up 2 movies tonight. After I was done, I typed in the code for the guy behind me. He had no idea about the free codes being offered and was thrilled to save a buck.

does anybody know if there is any "free" gold membership still that doesn't require some stupid "trial offer" completion. Like the one that was offered in April? Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Hefner.

I'm not sure what you're referring to exactly. You've posted in the Redbox thread which pertains to those red DVD kiosks you see at Wal-mart, McDonald's, etc. You seem to be asking something about a rent-through-the-mail type program (like Netflix perhaps), so you may want to search for a different thread to get the answer you want.

Go back to post 263 and read a few after that; this concerns the site Insideredbox.com, an independent website, not affiliated with the official Redbox site or company. Go here for membership details. The only free way in is the offer they describe. I'm still a gold member from the April promotion, so I don't know what's involved in the new offer.

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but what time of day on Mondays do these codes typically become known? I drive right by a 24 hour Kroger that has a brand new kiosk every morning on my way to work - between 6:30 and 7:30 am. It'd be insanely convenient to use a code in the morning and carry the DVD around with me until I get home than try to fight the crowd around dinner time.

Someone usually posts the code within minutes of receiving the text message from Redbox. I don't think it's ever been earlier than 1000 EST.

That's a plus - albeit a little one. Alas, the point was moot as there was apparently no code for Monday.

I tried to signup at redboxcodes.com but it appears that the site is designed more for harvesting email addresses than actually dispensing useful codes. Most of the codes seem to be tagged by users as "not working", and there's no readily apparent way to see the latest codes posted. Perhaps I'm just not smart enough to figure out how to use that site?

Just check here the first Monday of every month for that day's code. Even when the codes used to be issued weekly(and briefly semi-weekly) this forum's posters have never failed me!
