I've been debating that set, but given that it looks like it will be less than $20 per season as they hit retail stores, I think I'll wait.

Re: Ghostbusters.

Will the credit card be charged the same day when you place the order? Or will they charge on date of shipment?

Get Smart doesn't have any extras. But if that's not something you care about, it's indeed a good deal.

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...4&postcount=72 says they charge now, http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...6&postcount=75 says they don't. I think, and this is purely a guess, but I think those that wrote someplace that they were charged now, were ordering at the special link timelife set up for ghosbusters only, which didn't allow coupons to be used. I'm almost sure they don't charge until the item ships.

I can't wait for this set to come out. Thanks for all of the information, Pilot.

Also, way to pad that post count! :P

I placed my order, but didn't get a chance to add on the coupon....I called customer service and they said I could call within 3 days and add it on, they didn't have my info on hand right away because of the online order I placed about 10 minutes before.

I'm glad I didn't go ahead with the 10% off. If I did my math correctly, 25% off is a better deal. Thanks Pilot!

I think I may wait for a 20% and free shipping deal (they come out every so often).. would it be that much of a difference?

I was interested in buying this release because I used to love the show and had all the toys, but I have no idea whether or not it's entertainment value has held up for me over the years. I don't have much to go by, so I think I will pass on this set. $150 is a lot of money to pay for a show that I vaguely remember loving as a child.

I can't recall if 20%/20% & free shipping come out, but since shipping is $15 it would make a difference. I think Get Smart had free shipping itself, then the coupon was used, but I'm not sure.

Maybe that's what it was.

I'm in for this coupon though. People were discussing it at the one GB site but weren't dishing out the goods.

Thanks again!!

Ahoy there this is the first I've heard of this set and I'm excited about it! I had to splurge for it but this was the first time I ordered anything from Time Life so I accidentally ordered it with the 10% discount & had to pay shipping & tax it came to $195.5 so I called them and they were really cool the guy said he had an argument with a manager (screw the man!) I don't know what over but I ended up re ordering it with the 25% off but they also gave me free shipping so I got it for a pretty sweet $146.64

Now they gotta do this with Beetlejuice!

What a deal!

BTW, does anyone know who published those three Ghostbusters DVDs that came out a while back? I'm guessing it was not Time Life considering that the episodes were out of order.

Just placed my order, actually, and the TLMISSYOU coupon did not work.

My total with S&H is $179.98... Debating if I should call and complain about it or just cancel it and wait for a new coupon. Any suggestions?

Did you try stacking coupons? Only the most recent coupon you entered will work. I just tried, and it still works for me.

Man, the first two seasons of this show are great... I love 'em... But... Boy, does it go downhill fast with a completely different animation style coupled with the Slimer focus in the last few years. I just can't see buying this for over $80. I picked up the Seinfeld Complete Series for $79 and I actually know I like most of those episodes.

Season 1 & 2 are 78 episodes. Season 3 is another 13.

Season 4 was when it became "Slimer!", so at least you'll have 91 good episodes which is more than half the collection.
