Anyone know how to cancel an order from here? Can I do it online or do I need to call them?

I did not stack any coupons. When I entered the coupon code, there was no discount. I just tried to do it now and it works... There must have been some kind of problems when I ordered last night. -_- I shot an e-mail to them asking if I could have the discount applied. If I don't receive a response, I'll be giving them a call tomorrow.

You're probably better off calling, not emailing. Tell them you had a problem applying the right coupon code.

Surprisingly, my e-mail was answered. CS canceled it (was confirmed as canceled in my account) and I was able to reorder it with the coupon. Thanks for everyone's help.

I just got off the phone twice after arguing with CS reps telling me my coupon didn't work (TLMISSYOU). I wanted to pay in the installment plan since there's no confirmation if they charge now or later.. seriously, the people working customer service there are idiots. I got one confirmation from a woman who manually applied the $45 off since the coupon wouldn't take then the other girl told me that they can only honor the 10% off since it's a pre-order. Come the fuck on.

I think I'm just gonna order it the way it is on the site and see what happens. Grrr.

EDIT: They charged right away. I didn't go through the pre-order page, just the regular Time-Life site. Oh well.

I ordered it, loved the series, and for the most part the series has held up very well, and is better then anything the kids get today.

why is everyone ordering. I'd say it's very likely this will be cheaper at deepdiscount or amazon

This is an exclusive for Time Life maybe eventually it'll get to those sites but it may be broken up into season sets

Not to mention, if Get Smart is any indicator it'll be, what, a year, two years?

I got a letter from Time-Life today saying that due to an unexpected delay, the estimated shipping date is September 24, 2008. That doesn't make any sense so I'm assuming it means November. Anyone else receive this?

Yeah, a lot of people at GB Fans got the same thing. It was an error on their part.

Still November.

5 steelbooks inside of a box?

Sounds like they plan to sell them individually at retail later - I just can't imagine going to that expense otherwise.

Man... I was against buying this for $180, but $150 might be too good to pass up on. I loved the cartoon as a kid, but I'm finding it harder to enjoy certain childhood faves as I get older. I recently bought all He-Man sets (10 bucks Best Buy deal last month) but find myself sort of burning out around after just 25 episodes. (though the fact that some episodes didn't play and were wonky didn't help any). I started out really enjoying the episodes, but then it became kind of the same ole same ole formula. I dunno, maybe I have outgrown it.

Anyway, I guess I'll pick this up for my future kids if anything else, plus, eventually, I plan to watch all 147 ep's again (in perhaps a futile attempt to relive a part of my youth).

By the way, how does the installment plan work?

What is the Installment Plan?

Several products on our site allow you the option of paying in separate installments with zero interest. If you have chosen an applicable product, the Installment Plan check box will appear in the shopping cart. Click it to take advantage of this convenient payment plan. Your entire order will then be divided into installments. Orders that exceed $800 are not eligible for the Installment Plan option regardless of individual product eligibility.

On your first statement, you will be charged the applicable installment plus all sales tax and shipping charges. Note: The balance due on your order cannot exceed the credit balance available on your credit card account. The Installment Plan does not apply to Introductory Offers

So let's say you click on this offer while checking out The Real Ghostbusters for $150 plus shipping. How many installments are we looking at here? 2? 3? 4? I don't want to be billed $150+ in one blow. So I'd pay let's say $75 the month of October, then in November they'll charge me the rest right? ($75, assuming it is a 2-month installment system).

While this one IS still a kid's show, it was always more inventive and less formulaic. Well, for a while at the least. Strange and esoteric references alone...

Installment plan is 4 payments. One initial charge, then 3 other charges divided up in to monthly installments.

If you use a coupon on the site, the installment plan won't work and you need to call up customer service - but they're not exactly willing to apply your coupon. I had nothing but problems and ended up just shelling out the $150 up front.

The code AFBOO gives you 10% off + free shipping ($18 off product and $16.99 off shipping), so it's actually a little better.
