Not really part of the 2-disc sale, but it's Target, so I'll mention it. My Target had 5 copies of Volver on clearance for $3.46 each. I'm not sure if other titles were on clearance, but you might want to keep on eye on the clearance racks in the electronic dept. There were also many XBOX 360 and Wii games at 75% off...

Obviously YMMV, but all of the stores in my area had MANY games at 75% off. Volver I only spotted at one store, but I would be surprised if it wasn't clearanced at other stores which carry that title...

Some new titles added, with some being discontinued in all likelihood:

Robocop 20th AE
I Heart Huckabees 2 disc SE
New York, New York 30th AE
Cheaper By The Dozen (2003) "Baker's Dozen" SE

There are probably some more titles, but that's all I could remember.

All are $7.50.

excellent...and amusing.
I originally bought the SE of NYNY there for 7.50...got rid of it when I found out about the 30th AE and now I'll go back and get *it* for 7.50 instead--from the same store!

Where are you guys finding these movies? I see posts (like Fangs' long list just a few days ago) that are very recent on this deal, but I couldn't find a display anywhere in either of my local Targets, and couldn't even find the individual movies on the shelves.

darn. I was hoping to grab The Commitments.

These displays are typically on the back walls. They have the crummy plastic slots that they cram whatever into although they were designed for single width amarays. If the planogram tells them to shove a boxset in there, they will. Some of the oversized 2 disc SE's listed here also don't fit too well.

In the few Targets I've been to, it's either on the back wall or in the last Electronics DVD aisle.

Flicker, by back wall, do you mean at the very back of the store, or the back wall of the DVD section? I've been trying to scan for these deals as well but have come up empty-handed so far.

Sorry, the back wall of the dvd section. I remember now that not all Target stores have their Electronics in the back.

They're in one of the shelving units next to all of the other catalog titles i.e. Action/Adventure, Horror, Musicals, etc. They also have their IFC indie selection in this area.

I hope this helps.

All of these dvds have slipcovers with a bright red border around the disc art. Should be pretty noticeable if they have them.

Darn. My Targets definitely dont have them then. I know the shelving units youre referring to, but none had this collection, and I didnt see any red-border covers.

There are two Targets near me. One has some, and one doesn't have them at all.

I managed to get The Great Escape, All That Jazz and The Graduate but really wanted Midnight Cowboy and have been unable to get it.

You'll find some Targets are better/bigger than others. As far as I can tell, the older stores have the electronics in the front left side of the store, not nearly enough room there, so they can't stock half of what the newer stores (with the electronics in the back) can. So find a newer store and chances are they will have these titles on display.

i got it for 14.99 last night. they had two versions, one that was just the sets shrinkwrapped side by side and another in a red side by side that says gift set and has target logos all over.

lucky you - my Target thinks classic films are those made before 2005!
These titles (and most others on the list) are nowhere to be found...

Saw all of the above at my local Target, and can confirm that the copy they had of Rocky Horror Picture Show is (was) the OOP two-disc digipack. Picked that one up for some Halloween fun, as well as a copy of Guys and Dolls.

Anyone in the Northern Illinois or Chicago west suburbs seen any of these in your local stores? I've been to 3 area Targets so far and none had this display or any of the titles.

besides new releases and genre categories, the wall had no displays except "Double Features" and "IFC"

I got a copy of Rocky Horror and it either has a different cover or there is a paper insert over the orginal cover for Target. Can you confirm that it's a paper cover?

BTW, Guys and Dolls (w/book) is at Big Lots for 3.00 (if you can find it).

Yep, mine had the Target "Premier Collection" cardboardish-insert cover sealed over the mainly-black digipack. Snot-glue keeps it on the front cover.

Oh, and about Big Lots ... I've mentioned this a time or two in the primary thread, but mine just about never gets any of the good stuff. But thanks for the heads-up!
