Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Are there currently any 30% coupons for in-store? I could use one badly if anybody can help. It has to be in-store though.

Not this week. The current coupons are 25% for members and 20% Non-members.

Yes, the BN site has been flaky the last three days for me.
Today I gave up and used an older account for the orders and haven't had a problem with any orders.

Got two 25% member coupons to give away. PM away.

I also have a bunch of 20% codes to give away as well.

I actually had it officially screw up an order on me last night. As of the last minute confirmation it gives you before you hit the final submit it had 1 item with 1 payment method. Then I click submit and after I go to the order confirmation page, low and behold the order is for a different item (which I had previously removed from my cart) and an entirely different payment method. Fortunately I was able to cancel the order, but I lost the use of the coupon (which the system still treated as having been used). Its just lucky that I verified the order after submitting...

I'd love a 25% off coupon if you still have one. Thanks!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

B&N just sent me a Christmas card with a $10 gift card in it. A nice gesture for a loyal customer/member. I appreciated it. So if you're a member, this isn't junk mail if you get a Christmas card.

But... it's kind of strange that they'd essentially refund $10 of the $25 membership fee to their members at the end of the year. They'd sell a whole lot more memberships if they lowered the price to $15 and didn't issue the gift card. I would even be much more likely to renew if they did that. (I'd also be more likely to renew if they hadn't cut me off from member e-mails, but that's a different story.) The decisions B&N makes are sometimes difficult to figure out.

Thanks for all the coupons, Laser and Hari! Happy holidays to everyone. Santa is going to be busy delivering all these orders. B&N ought to give our coupon guys some sort of special shopping spree for their efforts.

BTW, whoever asked - no, coupons don't work on textbooks. I buy a lot of Dover books. Almost all of them are regular books, but every now and then one inexplicably comes up as a textbook. There's no rhyme or reason to which ones - but I can't use a coupon on them. I have never seen a textbook coupon in the past few years at all.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I'd never had a checkout problem until Monday, when an order I placed paying mostly by gc (with under $20 to my cc) somehow was charged entirely to my cc. I know that I entered the gc info correctly, as it gave me the amount of the difference that was supposed to be charged to the cc. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until Wednesday and they'd already shipped it all, giving me only the option of returning the whole order and then reordering the exact same items again (at the same sales and coupon price). Which seems rather wasteful.

At least I caught it quickly so I know what's going on, and didn't throw out the gc which retains a positive balance, and at least it happened with the smaller of the two orders I placed, the other Monday one for a higher $ amount and using 2 different gc's went through without a problem.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I may be able to use 2-3 in-store 20% off coupons, as there are a couple of BBC titles I do want and one that I've been thinking about. Definitely no more than 3 please, and only if there are for certain enough to go around. Thanks!

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

BTW - it looks like these coupons can be used once in store AND once online. I've been doubling on a few. Not sure if that's by design, or if it simply takes them a day to update the system and until then a coupon used in the store doesn't get marked as used online. But anyway - if you're strapped for coupons give this a try.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Hi! I'm new here, but I always shop in store at B&N to take advantage of their 50% off British TV sale. I'm trying to go tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday. As the closest B&N is 90 minutes away I have to make the most of my trip. So, does anyone have a coupon or two that I could use in-store please?

Thanks!
