Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Picked up the 2 disc special edition of the Pennebaker Bob Dylan film Don't Look Back for only $13.50. Originally 39.99, it was marked down to 29.99, then stickered at 50% off, and then as a member I got an additional 10% off. The 2nd disc contains an hour of terrific footage left out of the original feature and both discs have comentaries!

Grabbed Dogma on Blu-Ray for about $8. Not too bad.

Am I missing something? Is there a Blu-Ray sale going on or a coupon that would bring that down to $8?

Yes, yes and yes. Blu-Ray is on sale for $13.04 and I used a $5 off coupon from the op.

Thanks for the heads up. Had this on my want list. Got it for $12.58 shipped after taxes and 15% coupon.

You mean the coupon for $5 off a DVD over $20?

Um, yes? Perhaps you should try reading the fine print.

With the exception of the possible 40% coupons above, ...

Are those-in-the-know expecting more members coupons? I was surprised to not even see any 10-15% coupons in the first post.

Thanks, as always for keeping this updated, Laser.

Since around the start of summer B&N has slowly cut back on the 10% and 15% coupons. I was hoping with Christmas fast approaching they would start issuing more. Maybe some new ones will show up this Monday. So far the only thing I have run across worthwhile is another new $5 off coupon and a free shipping promotion for members that is starting on Monday.

As long as there's a $5 coupon for the Criterion sale, I'm content

Those $5 combo coupons like T8X7V7N are great when you get 1 CD, 1 Movie, and it totals over $50. Basically saves you 30%.

Thanks for the information! This should work great with the $10 free shipping promotion for members.

Bing is off my shit list for now since they credited my last 2 orders without having to contact customer service, and also for finally giving me credit on all of the orders I made during the summer at B&N that I never received cashback on.

Now if only B&N would start issuing more coupons. I'm on the last month of my membership and may not renew if they are going to get stingy with the coupons during the holidays.

No free shipping for overseas customers, no cashback and now no coupons - bugger.

The "Visa" referral program appears to have been extended to 2/28/2010 and, again, the extra 5% discount doesn't apply with the 10% member discount.

Is the Visa discount just 5% off one item or 5% off the total order?

Gift certificate deal looks tempting, an extra 10% on all our purchases basically. I wonder if the usual Bing and similar rebates work with gift certificate purchases?

So that 15% coupon code W4B4D8M can only be used once and doesn't stack with anything else, right?

One use per member account. It would stack with a B&N membership discount, credit card rewards or cashback, and rebate web sites like Bing that offer cashback at B&N.com. Also should stack with any of the free shipping offers.

I don't know. I was wondering the same thing when I ran across it.

Is the 20% new account coupon stackable with the 5% Visa offer?

I would assume it would if it was your first online purchase with the account.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

At first I thought this sounded like it applied to the second purchase of a new account:

"No membership required but only valid after activating a new online account and making your first purchase."

But then I realized it was just wishful thinking on my part.
