Maybe a few coupons coming later in the week. Saw information posted for a 20% and 15% coupons valid May 5 through May 9. Also saw there might be a Nook coupon coming for Members.

How often does B&N have those buy 2 get 1 free sales?

They have the b2g1f sales twice a year. The next one should probably happen in June.

They should have done that the day they charged my credit instead of saying nothing, and letting me get surprised when I was checking my credit card account last week. I'm not sure if there is a statue of limitations a company can charge you, but it looked like B&N was waiting until the last minute to quietly slip the charge in almost 2 months later. I probably would have accepted it if they were up front about it in the beginning explaining why.
Grrrr... I hope they're not re-evaluating everyone's Groupons suddenly, or if yours is a fluke. Cuz I know I had an order which went through that security review and was canceled due to using 2 Groupons, yet the order shipped anyway. Groupon refunded me for the 2 Groupons, so technically I do owe B&N that $20, but I thought I was in the clear by now... I don't think B&N tried coming back to charge me for those, but during the last 50% off coupon I had so many B&N charges that I never verified them. I just assumed they were all correct...

I might of just got unlucky. I was fortunate the charge showed up during a period when I had no recent order activity or I might have over looked it. There were a few periods were I had so many orders it was hard to keep track of them all.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Hey for anyone interested I think I discovered how to get B&N email offers. I just tried it with one of my email addresses that was no longer receiving B&N emails and it seemed to work. Go to the bottom of any page at B&N.com and there should be a box to enter your email address to receive B&N savings, updates, and newsletters. When I entered my email address I promptly received a welcome email for future offers. That's more than I got with the link I posted earlier for members to receive offers. Might want to give it a try to see what happens.

Historically, B2G1 has been in June and Criterion sale in July.

I'd check your CC bill just in case. Somebody else on slickdeals had the same thing happen too where several bn.com charges started showing up on their CC just like Laser.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

There is a coupon for 10% off "entire" order. Can that coupon actually be used more than once (has anyone used it more than once?) Or is it a single use?

Thanks in advance for any info. Much appreciated.

I've used it multiple times. I believe there is no limit on the number of times you can use it. The coupon was actually created to work with the new AAA link. That's were I originally found it several months ago. If you go through the AAA link it will generate the coupon code in your cart for the discount, or you can copy the code from the first page and paste it directly at B&N.com.

Laser, thanks for the info and the money you have helped me and others save.

The day you stop posting is the day I cancel my B&N membership

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks again, Laser! My membership ends on the last day of this month and I'm not going to renew because the online coupons have dried up so much. Having said that, you've made it possible for me to get plenty of great deals over the last few years with all the codes and coupons you've posted. So once more I say "Thanks, buddy!"

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Question, I ordered the LOTR EE blu ray in store awhile back when they had that 50% off coupon but didn’t realize it didn’t come out until late June. Since they already charged my card I was a little worried if anything went wrong because it’s going to be past the charge back period that I can file with my card. Has anyone had any issues with them not shipping a preorder or refunding a card if the order gets canceled? Not trying to sound paranoid or anything, but I’ve never ordered anything from these guys in the past.

Updated list of new store coupons I ran across. Not sure why there is no barcode on the Nook coupon.

Glad I could help you save some money. I have not renewed my membership since it expired at the end of January. At the moment B&N has not given me a reason to pay for another year. Fewer online coupons and not getting email coupon codes is not winning me over to buy another membership again.

Good question. I'm in the same situation since I also have LOTR pre-ordered. Also have Stars Wars pre-ordered from the first 50% coupon in late January I already paid for with my credit card. That's coming out even later in the year. I did do another pre-order in January that didn't ship for several months and it turned out okay. I hope B&N being a reputable company would honor the order as it was placed. If for some reason B&N did cancel the orders I would assume they would issue everyone a refund, otherwise they are going to have a bunch of angry customers to deal with.

It's probably there. They are just trying to show off the various colors the Nook Color can do, so the barcode is in the color WHITE.

LASER, thanks again for the coupons!!!

Now, I am waiting for July for Criterions Sale, if any, though it's not likely going to be cheap anymore since Barnes & Noble replaced the $5.00 off DVD coupon

In a new low for B&N, they told me now that I owe them $20 for a purchase that shipped in February. I used a groupon. I honestly can't believe these actions. Anyone else get an email?

That's why I'm not a fan of these Groupon offers. Situations like this that can cause virtual havoc on ordering stuff you want and then dealing with this craziness at the end.

Are you absolutely sure they charged your cc? I have done about 20 pre-orders with them using 50% coupons, and have never been charged until the item shipped. In fact, I also pre-ordered LOTR and have not been charged yet.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

The Groupon problem is that people want to try to "game" the system by signing up for multiple offers via whatever means necessary. Then they use their vouchers as soon as possible before Groupon can catch on. It seems Groupon didn't have the software in place to prevent possible misuse or the subscriber numbers just overwhelmed their ability to control the review process.
The people who ordered only one per computer IP address, per credit card, per home address didn't have a problem. I tried to buy 2 but the gift one for my GF got declined after a couple days.
On the other hand I'm all in favor of being able to use the (now dead) B&N $5 off $20 DVD offers as many times as a clerk is willing to accept; maybe because the situation is more first hand, direct and YMMV. I've be declined more often than not on that deal from the last Criterion sale but the successful transactions sure made me happy.
