Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

I tried the 40% coupons this morning and they are now active but do not work with DVDs. I had a DVD in my cart and it said it didn't qualify. Maybe it might work at a store if an employee can't read the fine print. However ymmv on that one.

My membership expires in a week so I got a book and one of the warner sale DVD's. With ten percent cashback this was a great deal. I'll wait to renew my membership when they start releasing more coupons. May go back for another book.
Does anybody know what's on the DVD that comes with the new Stephen King book Just After Sunset? And if it's any good.? This may be my next pick.

I was afraid of that.
Well, I'm sure I can scrounge up a book or two to order... I'll try a ship to home DVD in-store, but I wouldn't bet on it working...

Charmed the Complete Series in the spell book (not the LE) is on sale at B&N.com for $149.99. The coupon, as we know, is NOT valid on DVD's online, HOWEVER if you go to your local store and place a SHIP TO HOME order, you can use it. Technically this is YMMV since the coupon says in the fine print it isnt valid on Ship to Home orders, but I have never been turned down in store. I had no problem using it tonight. It's really buried in the fine print. No one is going to read that much. But I'd avoid checking out with a manager, just in case. As with anything at B&N.com, the price could go up at ANY time. If you want this, I'd go SOON!

^ I noticed B&N changed the wording on the printable coupon to now say save on one book instead of one item. But the coupon I posted on the previous page still says one item. If anyone wants to try to use the coupon in store for DVDs you'll need to print the copy in this thread. I don't think it will work with the revised coupon.

I totally missed that until you pointed it out. Good catch! I noticed that Charmed Complete was at 40% off before the coupon, making it a steal after the coupon. So I started a separate thread for it, since most people would miss it in here...

Has anyone had an issue getting cash back using live.com when you used one of the coupons? I ordered something on 11/24 (pre-order for 1/20/09) and haven't seen anything in my account. Did a pre-order (for 12/2/08) on the same day with another cash back site, and saw the transaction a few days later. I'm hoping that it's just due to the pre-order being so far out.

Pre-orders technically haven't taken place yet. If you used a c/c, you havent even been charged yet. So no, you won't get cash back for that anytime soon... I also use coupons, and most of my cash back has posted. I have a few that haven't posted yet though...

So far I haven't had any problems using Live.com through B&N getting cash back credit. I use coupons on every order. However I've done very few pre-orders, and most pre-orders I have done are almost around the release date. But one thing I noticed about B&N with Live.com is it takes longer for the credit to post to your account compared to some other stores. It can take days to get credit at B&N, while in comparison I get almost immediate credit at Deep Discount.

B&N has a blu-ray sale today with 50% off (list) for some items.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/Blu-...linkid=1298130

The Planet of the Apes 40th Anniversary set is $62.99 member price, and there are good deals on some three pack selections in the Fox category.

I am a non-member, so just use the 10% coupon on a new release? Aren't the new release blu's on sale a bit for the first week?

If you are still sitting on that gift card now is good time to take advantage of it with the Blu-ray sale. Also there are a few non-member 15% coupons available.

Great deal, the P4C4N3N/K8U9L4B coupon will take a total of $10 off those three packs, ($5 for DVD over $10, $5 for order over $30) making them $25.99 before any rebates.

Don't have a blu-ray player (not that has stopped me so far today), but I went ahead and picked up Firefly for $32.40 shipped.

Even though I already have the ape head set I'm tempted to get the Planet of the Apes Blu-ray set. I might get it if I could get through to live.com for an extra 12% cash back. It keeps timing out on me and I can't get through. I'm surprised there are some Blu-ray deals that are better than Amazon's.

I've got the head too and wrestled with this. Price seemed too good though. I'll keep 'em both.

I managed to get an order in through live but it was difficult. I had to keep refreshing the page periodically until I was able to get to the web site. I have no intention of getting rid of either set. I also ordered Casino and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid on Blu at B&N. With coupons and everything else they were cheaper than Amazon.

Too bad the 40% coupon is only for books - the Borzage/Murnau set would be around 120 bucks.

EDIT: Does using cashback negate the 40% coupon? I'm told my coupon is ineligible when I go through live.com

I'm just still in shock that the 20% coupons have dried up like they have. And to have absolutely no 25% or better coupon available (for anything, not just books) during this holiday season is all but unforgivable to me.
