My Costco has a price scanner to check prices however as previously stated you have to actual buy an item to see if there is a discount. Scanning without buying will not show the discount. I , too wish they would get their act together concerning posting discounts. I rely on this board for discount info. Haven't been disappointed yet. Thanks to all who post.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

My neighbor is a Costco employee. Without getting her into trouble, I wonder if she could help us out with deals? Anyone know of a way? I'll ask her myself when I see her next. She wouldn't mind helping us out with deals. Besides she does owe me for all the free crap I send to her house.

Should also include Route 66 Complete Series as it has the same Costco stock number.

Thanks, I picked one up today. 8 seasons of BM plus the spin-off season of Fish for $59.99 is just too good of a deal to pass up.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Most of the complete box sets seem to have been pulled and are no longer available at Costco at this time.
Items such as
Barney Miller
All In The Family
Route 66
Laredo
Magnum PI
Murder She Wrote
Naked City
Peter Gunn
Cagney and Lacey
Twilight Zone (episodes only)
etc.
I did see one Seinfeld set. It could be a return from after the sets were pulled. Just a guess.
I did see Combat season sets for $19 each. The complete series set was no longer available.

I saw Doctor Who half season sets for Seasons 6 and 7 for $12.99 each. That would be $26 per season. I believe these have fewer extras then if you were to buy full season sets

Things are definitely thinned out but some of the British Sets are pretty nice. Complete Black Adder or Complete Fawlty Towers for $19.99 is pretty good.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Have any of guys or gals found the Barney Miller Complete series set at your local Costco stores for below sixty bucks still? Would love to get this set but I an't seem to locate it anywhere in my area and where I have found it, they want almost a hundred for it.

This along with other complete series sets were removed from Costco at the beginning of the year. If any show up at a store, they are probably returns and will ring up at the sticker price ( no instant off). See post 1680 above.

I saw the second set (with bonus disc) of The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts collection at Costco this weekend (along with a restock of the first set.) Prices were around $28 each.

So there is going to be a bonus version of that second roast set then. Damn I wish Sam's Club carried these items. I don 't have a Costco membership and I've been after that Barney Miller Complete Series set for weeks now.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

I saw several of the Fox box sets for $14.99 each .
The ones I remember:

Bette Davis
Clark Gable
Henry Fonda
Robert Mitchum
Betty Grable Vol 1
Alice Faye Vol 2
Ford At Fox Comedy

These are the Fox sets. These are not the Warner Signature Sets. Some of these sets have been cheaper in the past.

The Fonda and Mitchum sets appear to be the best deals containing 10 films each. Both contain The Longest Day.
Fonda set contains

Jesse James
Drums Along the Mohawk
The Grapes of Wrath
The Return of Frank James
Immortal Sergeant
The Ox-Bow Incident
My Darling Clementine
Daisy Kenyon
The Longest Day
The Boston Strangler

The Mitchum Set has

River of No Return
The Night of the Hunter
Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison
The Enemy Below
Thunder Road
The Hunters
The Longest Day
Man in the Middle
What a Way to Go!
The Way West

Come Blow Your Horn is a really cool movie and Lee J Cobb is awesome in it...calls most everyone a bum in that film, including Frank.
