ok the FYE deal FINALLY worked for me yesterday! Picked up Ergo Proxy Vol. 5 (ONE MORE TO GO!) and Fate/Stay Night Vol. 5. They weren't sale items so I guess I shoulda listened to WTK when he posted that it was only on NON-SALE items. So the total (After BSP) ended up being like $14.37 for each of them...and w/credit thats a REALLY good deal for me :-D thanks again so much for the post WTK! (and whoever else who contributed)

well i bought mine with a whole helluva lot of credit...so in actuality i only paid about $10 or less for mine and it has served EXTREMELY useful! Clerks sometimes give you 10% more for your trade ins (but this is EXTREMELY YMMV and has only happened to me at 1 location i went to). And it's stackable with any of the promos that FYE has going on now (B1G1 Geneon titles, 20% more for your trade ins (the new one), $5 comeback cash with purchase of $40 or more, or $20 off a purchase of $100+ on USED dvds) so NOW is the time to get all those geneon titles you've been wanting with all these amazing promos from FYE right now :-D

Ah, Backstage Pass. Personally, i don't find it very helpful either. I have been using it a bit more these past few weeks, my birthday passed and I had trade iin's. i find trans-world to be more expensive than Best Buy- I have a Reward Zone card for them as well.
Neither are really big savers. best buy seems to have changed their system for points, before I was getting $5 coupons every other week, now i'm lucky if I find one every month. it seems the only way to save money brick and motar wise is to buy online. Sadly, that is not an option for me- at least not on a daily basis. I'm not sure when my backstage pass will run out, i've had it since Media Play closed, and it hasn't expired yet. |

Backstage Pass is worth it for me, since I enough way than enough to recover $125. With FYE.com now accepting Backstage Pass, it's even better. My non-anime purchase with TWEC should top $125 alone. So it works out for me.
However, for those who don't have TWEC stores around/close by or don't plan spend $125, it's definitely not worth it. |
