All store exclusives and freebies - 11/25/07 to 12/01/07

These weekly threads are for the posting and discussion of that particular week's store exclusives and freebies.

These lists will likely be incomplete until Thursday or so, since DVDs are released on Tuesday and one of us needs to visit all the stores to confirm things.

Links to the master list and to the previous and next week's thread are below.

Volunteers needed: I regularly go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, and Walmart; but don't visit the other stores every week. If you work at or regularly go to the FYE/TWEC chains, Costco, Borders, K-mart/Sears, Barnes and Noble, Blockbuster, Hot Topic, or any other store that has DVD exclusives; I'd appreciate any updates you could give us.

All Stores - Thread for all movie cash and free ticket deals

Best Buy -
week and book #3 of 4 in the free Shrek activity book with any Dreamworks DVD purchase
any Pixar movie for $9.99 when you buy Ratatouille for $19.99
free Golden Compass movie money (no preview DVD like WM) with purchase of the same titles that were at WalMart a week or two ago (LOTR 4 disc sets, Blow, etc)
Futurama: Bender's Big Score ($17.99) - bonus DVD with bonus footage of upcoming feature & more. PLUS buy Futurama: Bender's Big Score and get any season of Futurama for $19.99

Target -
Bratz: Movie ($17.99) - bonus DVD
Santa Clause 1-3 three pack ($39.99) - available only at Target in this set, slipcased
Blizzard/Prancer ($12.99) - advertised as only at Target, but probably just for a limited time frame, then to all retailers

Circuit City -
I searched and found nothing new

Wal Mart / Sam's Club -
Mr. Bean's Holiday - packaged with bobblehead for $5 more
I Know Who Killed Me packaged with copies of I Know What You Did Last Summer
I Know Who Killed Me - bonus DVD
Bratz - mini soundtrack CD

K-Mart/Sears - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

FYE/Sam Goody/other TWEC - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

Barnes and Noble - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

Borders -
Waitress - bundled with 10 Pie-Recipe Cards ($19.99)

Costco -
I searched and found nothing new

Blockbuster -
Hot Rod - t-shirt

Hot Topic - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

Toys-R-Us - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

The Disney Store - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

Meijers - I have not been in the store to verify all new exclusives; has anyone else been there?

I am surprised at the lack of exclusives for Futurama

Fred Meyer usually has freebies with at least one new release DVD each week.

This week you get an 8" apple pie from the in-store bakery with purchase of Waitress and in-store coupon. Pie and coupon were right next to the DVD New Release display in the electronics department. They also still had some tie in with Hairspray but I can't remeber what it was.

Mabye we should add Fred Meyer to this list for those who live in the Northwest and Alaska?

So how do you keep the pie from spoiling when you display it in your cabinet of DVD exclusive bonuses?

I picked up the version with a bonus disc packaged side by side. Bonus disc has 2 behind the scenes featurettes.

Blockbuster has an exclusive T-shirt with Hot Rod. It's shrinkwrapped with the DVD.

And Wal-Mart's only exclusive with I Know Who Killed Me is I Know What You Did Last Summer. There is no bonus DVD with it.

The LOTR deals for WM and BB are different

WM is the 2-Disc T/EE flippers

BB is the 4-Disc EEs

Wrong, as our Mountaineer pointed out, Walmart has a bonus DVD for the incredibly horrible movie, I Know Who Killed Me. It has a couple of exclusive featurettes, a "making of" and a look at the special effects.

Thanks Trevor. I knew someone had faith in me. Do'n't forget about the Bonus CD that comes with Bratz at Wal-Mart. It still isn't on the main list.

Thanks, was also missing a few other updates. First post is correct now.

Sadly, I'd actually spend time contemplating this if I had a Fred Meyer near me. I'd possibly end up saving the receipt showing the exclusive in my exclusive box (well, one of the 40 exclusive boxes), plus maybe the pie tin after I cleaned it.

Can anyone help me out? I'm from Denmark, and would really, really like the BestBuy edition of Bender's Big Score. If someone could buy it and ship it off to me, I would be enormously grateful. And I would, of course, cover all expenses.
