They have some items with "rebates" that are not pre-orders. For example, Ghost Whisperer Season 2. $44.99 - $10 coupon & FREE Shipping is $34.99. Send for the qualifying $10 rebate and total is $24.99. Not bad for a Set with MSRP of $59.99.

I haven't ordered from fye before so I don't have any experience with their rebates but I hope I get these. I ordered Brothers & Sisters Season 1 which will be $25.xx after the rebate (with tax) and Supernatural Season 2 for the same. Both have $10 rebates.

Can anyone confirm that this discount will stack with rebates? FYE is really bad with rebates to begin with, and this just seems like a perfect excuse for them to reject a bunch.

Coupons have worked fine in the past, I don't see why this one wouldn't. Granted, it will probably still be rejected, and then you have to call them to honor it and they will say "As a valued customer...." and then approve it.

Their rebates have gotten better lately. I just sent in for $165 in rebates on ONE form, and thought for sure something would get rejected or omitted, but I received a $165 check 8 or 9 weeks later. I was very impressed!

Here's a good order suggestion:
Robot Chicken S2 $22.99
Superman Doomsday $13.99
_______
Paypal Discount -10.00
$7 rebate on each -14.00
________
TOTAL $12.98 + tax

Also, save another 2% with e bates (which I didn't realize until after I had placed 2 orders, but I saved on the 3rd at least)

Um, Family Guy v5 Target Exclusive is available on the shelf at EVERY Target for $30, and all of their other recent exclusives are collecting dust on the shelves. Why are you advertising this big and bold? I think Sale ads should be limited to the DVD Exchange forum, and not advertised in every thread you post in, especially when you are scalping something the day it comes out!

Lost Season 3 $39.99 - $10 Coupon - $10 Rebate = $19.99, I'm in!

Edit - Nevermind, no pre-order, how did I miss that. Does anyone know how long this will last?

Now I wish I had not preordered the Superman: Doomsday DVD at Warner Home Video store. Even with free shipping and 25% off, I still will pay about $12 for it and I could have combined it with Robot Chicken for this.

Instead, I combined Family Guy 5 and Robot Chicken 2 to use the $10 off coupon, which will end up costing me less than $16 each after the rebates comes in, so that's pretty good.

I just hope it's okay to send in a copy of the shipping invoice since the two rebates are on two different forms that will have to be sent in two different envelopes.

Heroes: Season 1 is priced at $42.99 right now. Take the $10.00 off, add sales tax and such and you're looking at ~ $34-6 for the season. Not too shabby.

thanks for the info!

ordered "brothers and sisters: the complete first season" $42.99 - $10 = $32.99 - $10 MIR = $22.99

also ordered "las vegas: season 4" $42.99 - $10 = $32.99 - $10 MIR = $22.99 (+tax). REALLY good price seeing as this show never seems to get a sale. i only saw s1 and 2 available for $19.99 each once at best buy, season 3 has never been lower than the $34.99 i paid at fry's, so this is a great deal imo.

not bad. plus, brothers and sisters will come with a code that i can apply towards getting my buena vista rebate great pricing even if i do have to wait for the rebates to come in the mail. i've had good experiences with past FYE rebates though, so i'm not too concerned.

Anyone have any ideas? I am trying to decide if I should hold out for 10/16 to get Transformers HD or get it now at 10% off with the WELCOMECCTEN coupon.

As far as I know, the WELCOMECCTEN coupon has no expiration. So you probably should just wait and see when the PAYPAL10 coupon ends. I've got a rather large order I planned on placing with that 10% off coupon, but now I'm just waiting week-by-week to see how long the $10 coupon lasts, slowly taking items off that future 10% off order.

Usually I'd have quite a large number of items on my wishlist over at Deep Discount in anticipation of the 20% off sale in November, but their recent price hikes make current FYE.com deals (yes, even having to hassle with mail-in rebates) more attractive.

Promo code PAYPAL10 isn't a rebate, it's a coupon for an instant discount. It won't affect the mail-in rebate. Order away.

I received notice that my rebate was invalid because, get this, there was no product name on the paperwork. Wow. Had to call the Rebate Hotline. It took repeated calls. They kept disconnecting. One time the guy answered and then said he could not hear me and hung up. Anyway, when i was able to speak with someone, I asked how the product name could be missing when it was on EVERY piece of paper I sent in. The rebate form had the name which I checked off from a list. The email confirmation had the product name. The shipping notice had the product name. The shipping slip that came with the DVD had the product name. In fact, the online system I used to pre-register only let me pre-register with a product name. He then said he would take care of it. Now it shows correctly. I wonder if some people just give up and lose their rebates. Maybe that is what they want. Just a thought.

Looks like PAYPAL10 is dead.

I tried placing an order today and got an expiration notice for that code. That's too bad. I was hoping it would last through the end of this month.

Yup, just tried myself on 2 in stock DVDs and got "The coupon PAYPAL10 has expired."

Too bad was going to get Transformers HDDVD there.
