I went back by the one I first visited and all the Escape from New York 2 discs were gone. Also, they only had one copy of Running Man left. Had a few movies I hadn't noticed before- Enemy at the Gates and one copy of War of the Roses SE come to mind. Also Sky Captain, Wicker Park, Road Trip...some more.

I bought Dr. Strangelove from the [then] 5.50 bin at Walmart about 3-4 weeks ago. The funny thing was that the movie had its own 4.88 price tag on it.

It was the version of the movie with the dude riding the bomb downward on the cover.

I wish my store had Detroit Rock City. I have yet to repurchase that since I only have it on VHS.

I picked up a WS version of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow at my local WM. It seems the bin was full of the WS version of this particular movie.

I took advantage of this sale earlier this week before noticing this thread.

Having no interest in a full screen movie (I ROBOT) or in Swimfan (...it's Swimfan) I decided to ask the employee closest to me at a register if I could get the two movies I wanted (From Hell and Planet of the Apes) for the price of the two-pack since they are both in a pack and a lot of the employees are slackers and like me but she said it was a no go.

I decided to just remove the plastic covering the two dvds and scan the prices. The two-disc of Planet of the Apes scans as 5.00 (which is what the 1-disc costs from the new 5.00 bin) so I just bought that by itself. The From Hell OOP 2-disc scanned as the normal From Hell DVD they sell at about 10 dollars. I went ahead and bought the two pack of From Hell/Swimfan and plan on going back tomorrow and returning Swimfan. I figure this way I will either get From Hell practically free or for less than five dollars.

Saw a lot of DVDs re-stickered "$5.00" this morning. Didn't see any EFNYs in there though.

ThaGoddfather posted a thread with some further $5 titles listed that haven't been covered.

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=504855

12 Monkeys for $5 is a steal. And, if that previous little blurb about the $7.50 DVDs being included is true, then they just dumped all their recent Special Editions into the bin. Not too shabby.

Interesting. Made a run to Wal-Mart earlier this evening and took another breeze-through with the $5 bin. Didn't see a single 12 Monkeys copy. However, I also walked by the $7.50 rack and it was almost completely overhauled, lacking any copes of 12 Monkeys.

FYI, guys it's completely worth it to take a breeze through your local $5 bin right now.

I saw Look Who's Talking, the first one both in widescreen and full screen. The full screen one had the cover of the the 3 pack that was released a while back. I really was hoping to find part 2 in widescreen in there.

Is "the bear" supposed to be widescreen? The only copy i've seen isn't.
