It's not getting across at all. Mark said they will no longer use bubble mailers for overseas orders, but still refuses to halt the practice for American customers. Sure, single titles still come in boxes, but order 2 or more discs and you're rolling the dice. Mark even says they're still thinking it over, even though there is NO excuse for keeping the bubble mailers, at all, for any reason.

Yes, I've found this out the hard way. My boxed sets arrived today from Deep Discount in another padded envelope. Both of them had banged corners and floating discs, so it looks like the ride is over with them and DVD Planet.
I've spent a fair amount of money at both stores this past year, but I'm officially done until they step up and do the right thing for their customers. You'd think with all the ads they cram in the package their warehouse could easily afford not to downgrade materials.

If I were to order 3 items that were all preorders, but they were all released on different dates, and I spent extra for shipping, would they apply the shipping to the 1st one released, the last item, or am I able to specify how it is sent?

The envelope problem has finally hit home with me from DeepDiscount resulting in a floating disc. Luckily, my order was from their b2g1 Anchor Bay Horror sale, and the floating disc was in my throwaway 3rd free title (I only actually wanted the other 2 films).

Mark,
Have you raised your prices recently? All the upcoming Warner sets (Burt Lancaster, Kubrick, Stanwyck, Jazz Singer) are market 25% off instead of the usual 30%.
Also, all the November Criterion’s are a dollar up when you place them in the shopping cart.
Best,

Paraphrasing this man's words over something so inconsequential as to how our DVD's are packaged is, IMHO, poor taste. I figure you were just trying to be funny, but it fell a little flat with me (and I'll be surprised if domino harvey even caught the reference). If anyone needs a history lesson, start here:
I hate when my packages arrive damanged, but let's have a little common sense as to how we voice our complaints. It's just a DVD.

Best,
Treasures III went from $58 to $67 at the first of this month.
The Jazz Singer went up $1. The Rooney/Garland collection went from 34.96 to $39 and change. Some more, some less - pretty hard to figure. And like a previous poster, I'm kicking myself that I didn't preorder before the carnage hit - but I was waiting for the coupons....
