Update...I received my credit today. They apparently accepted everything so that's good. I did not receive an email from them or anything though; I just kept checking my account all the time....

I received my credit for almost everything except a couple of titles, have no idea why they didn't want them but it's still good -- and best of all it only took about 10 days from when they arrived there.

I noticed, though, that they've "closed" the Used section and won't be taking any more trades until it "re opens" on August 31st. Hmm....looks like I got in right before the deadline

Hi Mark -- I'm about to pull the trigger on an order. Just waiting for you to get Breathless (Criterion Collection) added to the site... hint, hint.

even though DVDPLanet is listing 8/31 release dates for all of the August Criterions, be aware that they apparently just shipped out Cria, so you should probably preorder in time for their actual street dates (8/14 and 8/21).

Shame they took down the quote machine this whole month. I'd hoped they can put it back up before August is over.

Shipping method

I want to purchase From Beyond (9/11), Wall Street (9/18), Troy director's cut (9/18) and The Hand (9/25) and planned on shipping priority mail. Does anyone know if DVD Planet holds all items for shipping until the last pre-order date, or do the break them up and ship them in separate weeks?

Thanks

I generally use the free shipping option whenever possible and they split up orders to ship as items are released; I believe this is also the case when you pay for shipping, but perhaps someone else can second this, as I'm not 100% positive.

It is the same, I had some store credit so I used my money to pay for standard shipping and they all still ship as available and the shipping fee is split up for each shipment.

Did they just raise the minimum $ amount for free shipping?
I think it used to be $25 but now it's $35. Too bad, this will affect my ordering from them.

I'm not sure when they changed it, but it's been a few weeks. I noticed the $35 minimum on the free shipping ad on an e-mail I got from them on July 27 with the July coupon codes.

Personally, it doesn't really affect me since 9 times out of 10, I use coupons on my orders (and obviously have to spend more than $35 for the coupon).

Do you know when Hostel Blu-Ray, 2001: A Space Odyssey Blu-Ray, & The Spider-Man Collection Blu-Ray will be listed on the site?

I've been gone for about two weeks so sorry for this question in advance. I'd search through specific threads, but I fear I've fallen really far behind.

I went to dvdplanet and didn't really see any sales going on. Is there nothing going on right now or could someone point me in the direction of what is? I have credit left that I'd like to spend if I find anything.

Quote Machine has been available all along. They just rerouted the link from the "Used" page. Bookmarks are handy in instances like this. Haven't actually placed an order, as I don't know if they'll reject it (or have just done this to cut down on the volume coming in), but it's a good way to see if the prices have dropped on titles you were thinking of selling. Found some pretty steep ones so far, but others have stayed the same.

Hey DVDPLANET - could you fix the price on "Mutual Appreciation" - You are selling it for more than retail.

Thanks!
