Did you mention your crusade about buying from them also. Intresting, you left that out. I also did not swear in regards to you.

I led a "crusade" against them BEFORE any of the links I listed. Like most adults, I'm capable of criticizing a company when they behave poorly and praising a company when they recognize their mistakes and show improvement. As for swears, get off my fucking jock already.

I wish I could explain it to you, I really do. Unfortunately, I have no idea. My Blu-ray Disc copy of Run, Lola, Run did ship today, so there is somebody actually working in the warehouse.

Really weird, dude. I placed an order last weekend (1 instock and 3 pre-order). The in-stock (Aviator) got here on Friday and I have the shipping notice already that Michael Clayton (releases this Tuesday) has been shipped already. These are both Blu-ray discs.

Unfortunately there's no rhyme or reason. Usually it's 3-4 days, but sometimes longer. Just call and harass them.

Be careful ordering used items though - I ordered a used HD DVD last week and they obviously didn't have it, so they just sent me the standard DVD instead lol. Their used inventory is really hit or miss, and even though it may still say "in stock" in your account, they probably don't have it, which is holding up your shipping.

Quote:
Thank you for writing DVDPlanet!

We do apologize but the order didn't import into our system. We have
placed the order for you. Your order number is 1207927. Please allow
2-7 business days for delivery.

Please contact us if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
what does that mean? does that mean they shipped it already? plus..what's this "import into our system" thing? how professional..

Basically that means they had to manually create a new order because something happened in between placing the order on the website and it showing up in their intranet program.

I've had similiar issues with them and that's what they told me.

Well not its a day later as I just heard back from CS it "should be back about April 1st.....Very disappointing, I have like 50 discs to get "rid" of and other places were like half of what I was going to get fro DVDPLANET. I may just go elsewhere as I am getting pressure from "the boss" to get rid of those discs.

I second that. I will be pre-ordering 3 more Blu-rays (Enchanted, Juno, Chronicles of Narnia) and that will be the end of my store credit. After that, I'm gonna need that Quote Machine back so I can trade in more discs and rebuild my store credit!

I just received today (3/2) a Frequent Buyer Point Update email from DVD Planet and it contained the February coupon codes, so maybe they are still active?

^I guess my email was written by the same person at DVD Planet in charge of ordering Pierrot le fou from Criterion/Image (I would have canceled my December 2007 pre-order of that disc..then reordered it from BN.com...if it wasn't part of a larger order for which I used credits/coupons.)
