I have read this forum for over a year now, but I had never been prompted to join until this thread. I have been buying from DVD Planet/ Digital Eyes for years now. I have NEVER had a problem with any order that was not quickly resolved by customer service. I also love the coupons and point system. Yes I compare price with the sister company DeepDiscount and also check at Amazon and DVD Empire, but with the coupons and points it usually comes out in favor of DVD Planet. Keep up the good work and know that folks appreciate your hard work.

Hi Mark,

I bought the two Grindhouse films as a blind buy and didn't like them, so I want to sell them somewhere. I used the QuoteMachine feature and I see Planet Terror showing up, but Death Proof is not listed. So I'm wondering if this is just an oversight or if you really are not buying this title. Your site would be my first choice to sell to, so please let me know.

Thanks!

Mike

I have a problem which I just e-mailed customer service about. I ordered 2 orders, each with the X-Files complete box, and the Stargate SG-1 complete box, buy one get one free. The X-Files was cancelled due to stock issues, and the SG-1 set was also cancelled. HOWEVER they have SG-1 in stock and I feel like somehow this is unfair because they cancelled it saying they couldn't possibly fill my order. It was a great deal when I ordered it and it's Christmas for (fill the blank) sake!
I would appreciate getting 2 SG-1's BOGO even if it isn't the usual policy seeing as how I placed legitimate orders during the sale.
Additionally, I purchased 4 movies in the buy one get one free, and only the 2 movies I was charged money for shipped to me, and the free ones are 'backordered' which is also not a good thing in my mind.

Any thoughts?

It really seems like DVDPlanet is finally learning to listen to their customers. After the huge firestorm on the yellow envelopes, they went on to raise the price of their Criterions. Everyone raised a ruckus and so they actually brought the pre-orders back at a lower price than before! Very pleased with how they're finally turning things around!

Why did this site get so expensive all of a sudden? I used to by all my DVDs here, but $25.41 for 3:10 to Yuma? That's like $8 more than Amazon!

Hey Mark from Naperville! Why your HD-dvd prices are so ridiculous.

Your sister site Deepdiscount is much cheaper, and Amazon is WAY CHEAPER.

Why buy-Hd-dvd From you?

I know it's a little pre-mature but can we get the January coupons? I used up the December ones already.

The used section is take down periodically - for inventory updates I believe, as when it comes back up theres always a whole slew of new titles.

This is normal - at least it's been this way for the 8 years of so I've been buying from them.

The time it takes for the used titles to come back up is variable - but maybe it's a bit protracted this time because of the holidays.

Prices really do seem to have gone up, notably on new releases and especially new High-Def releases. "Sunshine" on Blu-ray is $36.40, which is more than Best Buy / Circuit City stores charge - Yikes!

Funny thing is older/existing releases don't seem to have increased at all and have their same-old good prices.

Noticed that as well on the Hi-Def stuff. Looks like I will be taking my business back to Amazon or DVDPacific.
