Good sale...hopefully they'll actually have them in stock. My CC only had about 20% of the movies on sale in last weeks ad.

Unlike BB they don't try to have something in stock if it's on sale....they are just clearing out what they have extra.

So YMMV is a for sure thing with CC.

One trick I've learned, before I found this forum:

CC.com changes their prices Thursday or Friday, unlike Best Buy, changing them Sunday. I'm not sure if it will work, but for the TV Deals, you may want to check out their website near the end of the week to see if all the on-sale deals are going to be the same.

Some of the Alias seasons would definitely be a bargain.

It's an amazing Circuit City bonus disc that features Tony Jaa cooking some of his favorite Thai cuisine, a la Robert Rodriguez's cooking school from the Sin City: Recut Extended edition.

I've been personally itching to try his recipe for teriyaki tabby cat.

Speedy,

The new Arcade Fire album will also be available as a Limited Edition.
Is it mentioned somewhere in Best Buy or Circuit City's ads?
If not, I'll probably just order it online...

Just so everyone knows, Game Stop has marked Everybody Hates Chris down to $12.99 in their system - so I actually got a freshly stolen copy for $12.99 (plus an extra 10% off from my discount card).

I've seen at least one copy at just about every Game Stop/EB I've ever been to so you might want to peek into a GS first if you want to save a couple of dollars on a "used" copy.

Thanks Speedy! After reading about the Alias Rambaldi set discs being scratched, i am on the lookout for the regular season boxes to replace it. If they are in fact all $19.99 each, I can pick them up, and sell my sealed Rambaldi set on ebay and make like $30.

I might try to get to my CC today just to see if they even have them in-stock.

EDIT: Just curious about there price-match policy. If i buy them today, then they advertise on Sunday, would they give me the 10% difference as well?
Haha probably not, just got my cheap brain working.

They should NOT as you are buying them before the sale begins.

Sorry for the delay Randy / DVDTalk folks. I've been absolutely slammed by work (At both jobs) of late.

To address your question Randy, the only instance of what you're looking for is at Best Buy with a simple text under the $9.99 Neon Bible stating: "Also available Special Edition >>>> $11.99".

Thanks for asking and I'm always happy to look for everyone that has a serious question.

They don't. But they will honor the sale price.

I got this off there website:

Q: Will Circuit City match its own prices?
A: Yes, if you purchase an item from us (in-store or on circuitcity.com) and we advertise the same item at a lower price within thirty days of your purchase, we will refund you 100% of the price difference. Bring the advertisement and your original sales receipt to your local Circuit City for the refund.

It's good to see that at least ONE of you out there got the joke and added to it.

Not the funniest joke I've done but I am trying....

Thanks ignition!

But the picture in the ad states WIDESCREEN at the top.

This one has the aspect ratio as 1.78:1.

what is the difference between the normal edition and the limited edition? is it worth the difference in price ($7.99 at CC versus $11.99 at BB)
thanks

I just got the CC flyer in my morning paper and my ad is different from what speedy posted. On South Park, it says that Seasons 1-5 are $19.99, not 1-8. Also, Alias Season 5 is on sale for $19.99, but there is no mention of Seasons 1-4 as to being on sale. Very strange because speedy and I live in the same neck of the woods. I'm still going to go to CC and see if Season 8 of South Park will ring up for $19.99.

Does anyone happen to know if this is the widescreen version? In the past CC has only had the full screen.

Wow, did we jump ahead in time? I never get any big box ads on Saturdays! They all come in the Sunday paper. Where is your neck of the woods?

I hope the Alias thing doesn't fall through. I was going today to pre-buy them, I would hate to have to return 1-4.

My paperboy always puts the Sunday sales flyers in my Saturday copy of the Connecticut Post.
