Back! Google $10 off $10 for new users

Title says it all. For those who didn't get in in 2007!

http://checkout.google.com/signupbonus

"Limit one per buyer only. We will apply the $10 bonus to your first purchase of $10 or more (before shipping & tax) from participating stores. To receive the bonus, sign-up before February 15, 2007. The bonus expires March 31, 2007 and cannot be combined with other Google Checkout promotions. The sign-up confirmation page will display a full list of participating merchants."

Existing members may re-login and currently the new $10 promo is being applied. Not sure if that will manage to last the whole time or not though...

I have to dig out my mates USa address. DVD Planet through Google checkout will not ship to New Zealand. But yes, they did look the best. Just deciding which DVD I should get.

That isn't working for me. Is there a special link you are using?

Please explain the process you are using for getting the $10 discount on existing accounts. I've tried everything I can think of, and can't get it... Are you adding an additional credit card to your account?

I don't get what is so difficult about it? Click on the link, click on Sign Up Now, then enter in your information or click on the "Already have a google checkout account? Sign in" link.

AND THEN WHAT??? At that point, there are NO MORE LINKS TO CLICK! The only thing on the screen is to add an additional credit card. Is that what you are doing? If not, how are you suddenly transporting yourself to buy.com or dvdplanet to get the $10 discount? This is a valid question. You aren't explaining yourself well at all... I've tried this with 2 different browsers on 2 different computers. All of them take me to the same place after you log-in to an existing account...

Click on the link in first post. Click on "sign up now". Using one of your e-mail addresses, fill in credit card info, address, etc., and follow through. You should then be taken to a page with links to the participating stores. Click through, or I'd imagine just go to a GC store, and the $10 credit should be automatically in your account.

And be ready for the "glitch" police to start coming out of their holes for the day to criticize taking advantage of this.

I didn't have any troubles. After you get the $10 bonus notification just get on dvdplanet and do the GCO to see if the discount shows up. I've successfully did it on three accounts.

I ordered:

Apocalypse Now: Complete Dossier $5.96
The Shining (Kubrick's version) $3.49
Requiem for a Dream/Pi (special editions) 2-pack set $3.49

Maybe you hit the nail on the head with your statement. What "notification" are you talking about? Did they send you an email? Should something have appeared on my screen after logging into my account?

Gotcha. I never imagined you would have to re-enter your c/c info (or that it would allow you to). I just ordered 2 DVD's I didn't even need, but I wanted to get one order in quick in case they kill this deal... Thanks to everyone who responded...

Hey man, I feel your pain. These guys aren't being very helpful. I had the same problem and figured it out.

Go to google checkout first. Make sure you are logged out of your account.
Then click the link in the first post here.
Then click on the already have an account? button and login as usual.
Then you'll be re-directed to the sign-up page for the $10 off.
Fill out the form (your email addy will already be there) and click submit or whatever the button is.
Then you'll be re-directed to the $10 off page with links to the stores.
SHOP!

Try that, should work.

EDIT: I see you already got this to work, I was just typing too much! Should help some others though.

Ditto. I sure didn't expect I could just reenter the CC I already had on file. Thanks for the info guys!
