From what I see it IS.

The case picture is tannish around the borders with a sharp focus on a woman's eye with the numeral of 2 in it.

At the bottom it states: Some Curses Can't Be Broken

On the standard edition it depicts a face (eyes, nose and a supposed mouth) covered in black hair. There is a little cabin in the lower right corner.

AS far as Van Wilder.... it's lying flat so I would assume an earlier version

Keep in mind with the Last Unicorn that Peter S. Beagle, the author of that masterwork, gets NO MONEY from the sale of that DVD.

If you wish to support him, buy the dvd here instead, and you can even get it signed--albeit for a fairly significantly greater amount of money. But you can also get it only $2 more ($14.99) unsigned and still get money to Beagle.

My answer would be yes. This contains both the uncut english and japaense audio track as well as the original japanese music. It is also completley uncut. Its a hell of alot cheaper than buying each of the dvds individually as well.
