Oh man I want all the seasons of Stargate SG-1 but I've been spending so much money lately. Should i buy them? I hate it when you buy DVDs and then see them for a lot cheaper a few months later, it adds up when you have like 600.

Anybody else notice that they've got that weird Al Pacino Collection that's been delayed twice (and isn't currently scheduled for release until April) up as part of this sale? It's a four-disc collection of films he's directed, two of which (CHINESE COFFEE and THE LOCAL STIGMATIC) have never been seen except at festivals and private screenings. Strangely, the product description is for AUTHOR AUTHOR and PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK, which have had the same release dates as the Pacino Collection, and get bumped each time as well.

Just thought it was weird.

Damn, I couldn't resist.

The Bob Newhart Show Seasons 1-4 is now mine for less than $12 per set.

Has there been a deal as good as this on those sets?
Meijer had them all for $15 each last weekend. I picked up a couple.

I was thinking about the following order - should I pull the trigger?

=======================================================

THE BILLY WILDER COLLECTION $ 75.89

MEL BROOKS COLLECTION FREE
I'm thinking about the same purchase. I've heard bad things about the Some Like It Hot disc (and there's a newer edition out that's supposed to be superior in every way) but is there anything wrong with the presentation of the other Wilder films?

I'd definitely recommend the Jayne Mansfield Collection to any comedy fans. Two of the films are directed by Looney Tunes director Frank Tashlin, and they look like live action cartoons.

Dam, I'm gonna go broke.

Why the heck is angel $40+ while buffy is $30 ????
Any hope for the Angel price to come down in the near future (~1 year) ?

Bummer. I bought several of those titles from Amazon's MGM sale a few weeks ago for $16 each.

I should have known other vendors would have similar sales.

looking like I might get 'That 70's Show' seasons 4 & 5 and 'Millennium' Seasons 1 & 3 for about $80 give or take.

Thanks to the OP for the link. When I pull up the DDD home page I just see a "link" advertising great deals but no actual BOGO offer.

LB...
There *aren't* any thinpacks for Angel anyway (in existence, that is).

But then I hate thinpacks.

Damn, ending up sending back the 2 DLM sets I ordered from amazon. com. for $42.xx last week. Still made out better with DDD @$13.77 per season!!(even with having to pay shipping back to Amazon.

I would like to purchase a few more; but with Christmas this close and an 8 year old and a 16 month old boy to buy for; I don't see it happening.

I have the set and haven't noticed anything. I enjoyed some of the films very much like Witness for the Prosecution and the Secret Life of Sherlock Holmes as well as the more typical classics, the Apartment and Some Like it Hot. I recommend the set.

If I just close DVDTalk for the day, maybe... just maybe I won't come back to buy those last three seasons of Buffy. The only thing keeping me from doing it right now is that I need 3 and don't have a 4th set on the list I really want.

Anyone know if the Buffy sets are the thin pack? I bought the first one at Sams for like $17 and I had never watched the show and really enjoyed it. But I'm anal and I must get the fat pack ones. lol

As someone else already mentioned, they just came out this week. I saw them at Best Buy last night, so I can vouch for the fact that they exist.
