Thanks for posting this... BB was the one ad that was yanked from all BF sites.

Does anyone know if this is the W3213HD that Best Buy has on their website? I'm not sure if they are the same thing or if Westinghouse has a model without the HD tuner.

I'm pretty sure it is. I saw a scan of the ad last week and it gave the BB SKU 8120366, Reg Price $799.99, save $320, sale price = $479.99.
Linkage to TV @ BB.com with current price shown

Yes, it's a Samsung widescreen, model 931BW. It's not listed on BB.com. They'll also have a Westinghouse 22" widescreen LCD monitor, model LCM-22W2, for $199.99, no rebates.
22" Westy LCD

Usually they are out a day or two BEFORE the sale starts.

Most likely they'll be out tomorrow.

In my neck of the woods, the ads are in the Thursday paper. It rivals Sunday for size. Those stores having Turkey day sales might have ads in the newspaper on Wednesday.

That's what I've been thinking, but just to confirm...

For this (and all BF sales), if the ad is for Friday and Saturday, could we purchase the items today, skip all the lines on Friday, go in with our receipt on Saturday and get the price adjustment???

Hmmm...not seeing anything worth the crowds at BB this year. I just picked up Prison Break for 22.99 at CC this week. $3.00 is not worth BF crowds.

The dvd choices are pretty poor this year IMO.

For the ? above....All BF ads are always found in the Thanksgiving Day paper which is the biggest one of the year.

^^They'll probably try to give you some line about how "they don't do price adjustments for these sales" but then you just have them return the item and rebuy it. Fortunately a lot of my friends still work at CC and BB so they know better than to give me any crap over stuff like that.

EDIT: If you're trying to get any of the big ticket items, just purchase it but have them leave the pickup date open(tell them it's a gift and you don't want to risk the kids finding it or something). Then just go in Friday morning to pick it up and you shouldn't have any problems.

So if I was to buy the Panasonic MiniDV Digital Camcorder today for $312, could I then get a price match for the Black Friday sale price of $159? Does anyone know if they will do this?

My BB specifically told us they won't use open pick up dates or price adjust any of the black friday deals. They basically said that if I purchased the Westinghouse 42" LCD I want prior to Friday, and try to return it, they won't resell it to me.

I don't doubt this. Sometimes it takes a little strategery to get some of these deals. First thing, you NEVER ask if they will do this as they will always tell you no and are more likely to remember you and might even make a comment on your recepit specifically stating this. In your situation, you could go ahead and buy the TV and then take it to another store and ask for the PM. If they refuse to resell it to you at CS, just go find someone at a register and tell them you just saw one get returned and that you would like to purchase. It will be so busy they probably won't think twice about it.

Did the store you went to have this TV on display? I have looked around and none of mine have it on the floor as I want to purchase it myself. I'm going to try to figure something out with this but it's not looking too promising. Looks like I might be doing what I did a couple years ago and just head straight from the bar Thursday night, stumble across the parking lot and pass out for a couple hours in front of the store. Time passes a lot quicker and you don't notice the cold when you're drunk.

Speedy (and anyone else),

Given that the $4.99 Dynex 100-pack DVD-Rs is a two-day special, do you think I'd still be able to pick up a few if I showed up around noon?

If they have them, YES.
