Which version of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"? The theatrical version, or the newer version? TIA.

Theatrical but of course YMMV.

Anybody have any pricematching experience with CC on past BFs? I know BestBuy has a disclaimer in their ad against it this year. I remember seeing a huge line at customer service last year, I don't know if that's what people were doing or if it was just doubling as a check out register.

I was interested in picking up the 15" LCD TV, for my kitchen. Was the $50 mail in rebate through Poloroid, or through Circuit City?

And I noticed that Best Buy was handing out tickets at 4am, is Circuit City doing anything like that or just get in line pretty early?

Have you seen much buzz for this 15" TV? Just wondering what my odds are of actually getting one if I get there around 4am (doors open at 5am, but there'll be a line long before 4am of course). The only good thing going for me is that there's a nearby Best Buy and a nearby mall with tons of stores, and people can only be at one store.

And for those who don't know, it looks like Amazon will be selling 1,000 XBOX 360 core units at 2 PM EST for $100 each!!!!!
So how long will it take for them to sell these? 2 minutes? I think I might try for one.

It does not say whom pays out the rebate which usually means the manufacturer.

No where in the ad does it mention placement tickets for early morning shoppers so hopefully everyone will queue up nicely.

Here's the spec's on the TV itself:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Polar...oductDetail.do

I cannot find much on this set other than what I've provided but it appears to be fine.

My Magic 8 Ball says you should be able to score one.

Good Luck and report back!

Did not know that...thanks for the heads up. Thankfully no work that day but I'm not heading out into the madness. I'll try to remember and be on then to see if I can snag one.

As somebody who has worked a few BFs. but never shopped before (until later in the day, and usually with decent success) . . . I am finally out of retail and am considering trying it. My questions are in regards to price matching (understanding that as with most price matching, YMMV) . . .

. . . which stores will? Which stores won't? Which stores can I go purchase at on Wednesday and simply go to customer service and get a price adjustment?

I stopped by my local Circuit City tonight to look at the TV. The size of it is great, it would fit perfectly where I want to put it. But... the picture was bad, it was like the screen was whitewashed (compared to the Magnavox and Sharp models next to it). I asked the guy and he said that that was how it looked (he even went into the menu to make sure somebody hadn't been messing with the settings).

Well, thanks for the information but I'm going to keep looking for 13" to 15" LCD deals.

I've done it at the Springfield Wal-Mart store in the past, but it's been three years or so. Meijer will also price match on general merchandise, worth a shot. Target won't do it. Best Buy and Circuit City normally price match but I don't know if they will on Black Friday and besides, you won't want to go there that day if you don't have to.

QUESTION:

If I were to buy something at Circuit City today that I know will be a lot cheaper Friday, would I be allowed to take it back Friday morning and get a price adjustment?

I would say YES.

The key in my mind would be taking it back on Friday as opposed to after Black Friday has passed.

Actually, its just South Park S8 I was thinking about doing this with.

Thanks speedy.

You should call them, becuase BB says they will not allow this so I am not sure what CC does.

I just asked while I was there. No price matches or adjustments on the "before noon" stuff.

I forgot to ask if I could return it and then rebuy it though.

So does this mean the DVD Sets are on sale for 12.99 for both friday and saturday, meaning I could buy them now and get the price adjusted Saturday and completely avoid all the craziness? Because that would be totally rad.
Also, is there anywhere I can see the ad? Just to get the picture and take it all in visually?
Thanks speedy, good lookin out!

The problem is that these are limited quantities and are advertised as such.

They do not usually allow price adjustments on limited quantity items but a return and rebuy may work.

No, only those CDs pictured are $6.99.

The ad reads: "Save 50% on these CDs:"

Anyone found any specials online? The home page makes some reference to "look for T-Day Specials," but I've found nothing.

Judging by the link to the ad you just posted it looks like the Jim Carrey version.
