Just a heads-up...my local Big Lots got tons of stuff in this week.
Here are some of the $3 highlights, mostly stuff I haven't seen there before:

The Dark Crystal: Collector's Edition
Labyrinth: Collector's Edition
Little Women (1994, with book)
Kung Fu Hustle (full screen only though )

Also found a few Superbits:
XXX
Johnny Mnemonic
Gattaca

While Roan does excellent work, (DID?? Troma seems to be putting Roan on the back burner) IMO the version of Rain to get is the out of print Image Entertainment DVD. For those who'd like to rent & watch it Netflix still has the Image DVD in stock.

I keep hoping to see Runaway (1984) with Tom Selleck & Gene Simmons (and directed by Michael Crichton). I have a feeling it will show up at BL eventually...

Mine has nothing very exciting but I picked up

Cuba (Richard Lester)
Jean de Florette (Claude Berri)

I don't know if anyone really wants these but I'd like to trade for

Hannah and Her Sisters
Coming Home
Body Double
Shampoo
Bitter Victory

I also saw about 10 Steamboy's so if anyone wants one of those as well.

Anyone willing to pick up a copy of How to Make a Monster for me? Haven't been able to make the 3 store circuit in weeks and I would like it if this title didn't slip past me.

Thanks.

Went to another Biglots and found the following for $3 each. I think all of these have been mentioned, but this is to let folks know what is actually out there on the shelves right now with the latest restock...(as always, YMMV with Biglots, some stores have nothing and other stores have a big selection.)

Lords of Dogtown
Stealth FS
The Vertical Limit
Rock School
The Missing
Gunslinger's Revenge
The Woods
Ringers: Lord of the Fans SE
Anger Management FS

and others...

I went to big lots yesterday they had a lot of dvd's but none that have been mentioned lately in this thread. I did find however "Die Monster, Die" starring Boris Karloff and Nick Adams for $3.

Bought:

The Glass House 2
The Net 2
The Dark Crystal CE (3 of them)

If anyone finds an extra Labyrinth CE, I'll trade it for an extra The Dark Crystal CE I have.

I'll go back to my local Big Lots tonight to see if they have any more Labrynth CE's. They had quite a few when I bought mine on Friday. Stay tuned.

Thanks. I've been to 4 Big Lots since Friday. Only 1 of them had several of The Dark Crystal CE, but none had any Labyrinth CE.

Revisited my local Big Lots today, and found a pallet (stacked two high) of titles...

Picked up:

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Superbit)
Masked and Anonymous
Up and Down
Wah-Wah

And for my parents:

The Natural
Saint Ralph
Sleepless in Seattle

I also saw "Art School Confidential", "The Forgotten", "Off the Map", and several others that I might go back and pick up. I wanted "Sweet and Lowdown" and "Kung Fu Hustle", but they were only in fullscreen.

Would love to find "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth".

I believe the WS/FS flipper of Sweet and Lowdown has long since been dropped in favor of a single sided FS version for years now

The display finally showed up at my Big Lots. Picked up
Gattaca - Superbit
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Superbit
The Dark Crystal CE
Private Resort
Sheena

I will probably stop by tomorrow and pick up
Joe Dirt
Mrs. Winterbourne
The Third Miracle
Wah Wah

Wanted
Labyrinth
Johnny Mnemonic - Superbit
XXX - Superbit

I wish they would get a lot more Superbit titles. They have had Charlie's Angels and Closer also recently. I feel stupid double dipping on titles I already own, but the better picture quality and inclusion of a DTS sountrack make it worth it to me. I can always give away the original DVD.

I believe somebody mentioned they wanted a Moulin Rogue. I saw a couple copies at my Big Lots if anybody wants to trade. Can't guarantee its still there. I also have a copy of Steamboy and Yojimbo Vol.2 if anybody wants one. Also a copy of Philadelphia if its still available.

Picked up "Pretty Persuasion", "The Bride" and "Art School Confidential".

Might pick up "The Natural". I have the SE edition, as I understand it's different from the theatrical edition.

I am curious about "Laurel Canyon". Is it worth my time?

for those that dont know, the movie "rock school" is the true story of the guy that jack black's charactor in "school of rock" is based upon. its is a great movie and well worth picking up. the real guy is even more outragous than jack black's fictional charactor

The Blue Springs, MO store is still dry. It's the same old handful of junk that has been there for a while. To make matters even worse, they're remodeling the store and it's a mess. The DVDs are near where they've always been, but the grocery section was mixed up in five random aisles in different locations of the store.
