The four movies will include a prequel, a mid-series movie, a sequel and a "final" movie. The prequel movie is due out early summer 2007.

While the new story will be set during the same time frame as the original TV series, Newtype states that it will be an entirely new project, not be a remake or improvement of any sort. Newtype also mentions that viewers will not need to have already seen previous Evangelion material in order to understand and enjoy the new movies.

Hideaki Anno will write the scenario for the first movie and will be the general director and manager for the entire project. Kazuya Tsurumaki will direct the movies while Yoshiyuki Sadamoto will provide character designs and Ikuto Yamashita will provide mechanical designs. Shinji Higuchi will provide storyboards for the first movie.

Khara, a new studio that shares office space with Gainax, was recently set up and is seeking production staff to work on Anno's new project. Source: ANN.

Just checked RightStuf and everything on my last Geneon order now says "Reserved for Your Order", so it should hopefully ship tomorrow.

Looking at the releases list, December's looking like a big month for series starting for me (Pani Poni Dash!, Rumbling Hearts (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien), and Fate/Stay Night).

The next week is also a big week in terms of series starting in Japan (Kanon 2006 and Death.Note)

Also picked up Trinity blood box at my local BB today. They had a little tag on the shelf saying the box was on sale for $24.99, but it rang up as $29.99 Had to drag the cashier to the shelf and show him the tag.

Got myself the Ghost in the shell: SAC 2nd Gig vol 7 with box as well. I didn't know it was made only to house the special editions, so my first 6 none SE were a little loose in the box. Oh well.

Well the first book that came with season 1, disc 4 holds the first 9 DVD's. That page from RACS doesn't say how many the second book holds - just how many the first book holds. I would assume if the second season is also 9 DVD's, then it'd be exactly the same /shrug

Since this is done through Google checkout, perhaps that's a moot point. I remember preordering Galaxy Angel Z through the $10 off $20, but I can't remember if my CC was charged before it shipped. Anyone know?

Got a box of 25 DVDs today. That was fun. They weren't packaged as nicely as my previous three boxes, but there was no damage. Had one floater (Fushigi Yugi vol 3; plays fine) and the upper locking mechansism broke as well, but meh I could really care less. Some of these DVDs appear to be re-wrapped though, as someone else pointed out, but I honestly don't care. I really don't know if it has to do with Geneon's packaging but there is noticeable differences between certain DVDs wrappings; flimsy plastic versus "hard" plastic.

Order #4 is all ready to go too! Yay! 75/100 received, I'll be sad when the last one comes in. It's like opening Christmas presents wrapped in brown paper!
