For those who may have children or if you, yourself enjoy the following anime....saw different DVD volumes of YuGiOh, YuYuHakusho, and Kirby at my neighborhood Big Lots. I'm not certain of the volumes since I didn't pick any up. Don't get me wrong...I happen to like YuYuHakusho....

Couple of things:
Can confirm that The Big O II, Vol. 3 is also available at Dollar General (bought it a week ago), in addition to volumes 1, 2, and 4 that are already listed here. Secondly, Best Buy has Cromartie High School Vol. 1 for $11.99, and Cromartie High School Vol. 4 for $9.99. Other two volumes seem to be the regular price. This is both in store and online. |

Yeah... While these are good deals to fill in gaps in our collections and whatnot, I have to say, thinpacks are definitely worth the wait. Besides, I need all the shelf space I can get!

Unfortunately, I'm beginning to wait for thinkpaked shows too. Even when I can get individual volumes for dirt cheap, I hold off now, because I know the thinpak will come out and be even cheaper. I'm sitting with a few half-finished series that have already been thinpacked, and I have to decide whether to bit the bullet and finish them or just go for the collection (DNAngel with only one volume, Peacemaker with volumes 1-3). I blame ADV mostly, and I doubt I'll ever buy a new release from them again, unless the extras are just incredible.

justbarelymovin, this thread is a lifesaver (well you know what I mean)...let me tell you why.
I went to my neighborhood BestBuy, and they didn't have the Animerica magazine or even knew anything about it. A salesman and I couldn't find info about the coupon on the BestBuy site either. So I directed him to this thread. Guess what he did? He got the information about the coupon and gave me the 30% off (I'm a rewards member). Isn't that great. So people...if your BestBuy doesn't have the magazine, see if your salesman will do the same. |

ADV is having another one of their slashed UPC sales until February 19. There are some good deals to be had if you don't mind taking the risk of receiving a crushed box.
