MovieExchange has written up a nice little FAQ which you will find below, that should give you all some information and hopefully prevent the new folks from making threads and then feel bad because the veterans get on your case about making a thread.
Asking when the next sale will be is frowned upon. If you're a current customer of DDD, you will receive an email when the sale starts. If you're a subscriber of the DVD Talk newsletter, you will also get an email when the sale starts. Your best bet though is to watch the Bargains forum, because when it happens, you'll know. You will see a thread, and it grows, VERY quickly. You may also see or hear it advertised on local AM radio stations, and/or even national newspapers.
The sale usually happens twice a year and runs for a week and a half to two weeks. The last one was in June, the one before that was November of last year, but there's never any guarantee that it will take place. We don't get an official post until the day of or the day before the sale.

the movie Ridicule is listed as full frame on ddd--but B&N lists it as 2.35:1--does anyone know if Ridicule was released in full frame or is the info wrong...

I've been getting 2 confirmation emails for each order, and just realized they're coming from different addresses. Is this happening to anyone else? The first one comes from [email protected], and then another one comes about a half hour later from [email protected]. Whats up with that?

It looks like its just to combat people complaining that their order verification emails were taking too long to come. So they came up with an order confirmation email.

I got my first two orders in the mail today (boxed into one shipment).
I didn't know there was a $10 rebate in the 21 Jump Street season 2 box set but there was a card for getting $10 back on two 21 Jump Street box sets and I happened to also buy season 3 so that's an additional $10 savings now, cool!

Can someone explain this to me...
Ok, why is it that i tend to receive boxsets(when i've ordered a season of television episodes) from DDD faster than a regular DVD?
For example, when i ordered BOOMTOWN, REIGN: The Conqueror, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND SEASON 2, etc. i received them approx. 3-4 days from my initial order date
but
anytime i order a regular dvd(anything thats not a television boxset) i've received them 7-10 days later
I'm probably grabbing at straws here, but could it possibly have something to do with the price differential?........like, they're quicker to send off the things that cost more in order to leave the buyer with a smaller window of opportunity to cancel ced order

kevin smith question
i am thinking of getting chasing amy criterion and jersey girl with the 20% off coupon. unless anyone has heard anything about new special editions in the works for these?
i know the dogma se took a long time to come out after the barebones release, and with chasing amy 10th anniversary coming up i figured it would get similar treatment to clerks x and mallrats x.
jersey girl was blasted but i really loved it, and i own all the kevin smith dvds except for these.
please advise!
